To be honest, I was disappointed. It was not the thing I was waiting for since long. 95% of the movie was in English and I failed to understand who were the targeted audience. Every word that has been said in the movie could have been in Urdu which by the way would have made more sense. It was stupid showing Taliban/Terrorists wearing the traditional dresses and talking in English.

The movie was delayed for 2 years and a lot has changed since we first saw the trailer and now. If it would have been released then, I think I would have liked it. At least The Expendables wouldn't have been in my mind. The direction was good but not out of the world. Khuda Kay Liye was much better. Same old camera was used as the video quality looked quite old. Ali Azmat's acting was funny and I don't know why was he given the role.

I tried to get seat at Cine Gold Plex but it was all sold out. Similar was the case with Arena. I watched the movie in Cinepax and was thankful to God because spending more than 400 Rupees wasn't worth it on it. Go watch the movie once because it is a Pakistani movie and we have to support it because we do watch every **** that Bollywood makes. But don't keep very high expectations from the movie. It was good in bits and pieces. But I have seen better movies from Lollywood.

In short, Waar was a Khil-waar with my expectations.

What about another Pakistani movie "Zinda Bhaag" ?? .......
i havnt seen it but i know the director Farjad Nabi, a bit.
He used to make very unconventional documentaries back in 90s.
Let me share one piece of his 1999 work (its a story of an eccentric person Professor Orpheus Augustus Mark whose dreams of becoming a Lollywood film artist have met a tragic end):

ZINDA bhaag is good specially lahoris can relate to it, but it is not for commercial cinema viewers, it is an art film & a good representation of Pakistani society.

Waar didn't impress, it was sort of unreal, very weak plot and direction. Good thing was cinematography and action. Still it is a good one time watch & great improvement for Pakistani cinema.

Honestly speaking guys it has been a very long time since i saw a movie which was really interesting.

Everything is going towards hi-fi graphics with no story line whatsoever.

I heard so much about django unchained being a classic but it was disappointing. Same as inglorious basterds. Same kind of story and exactly same direction.

I wish they made more movies like legends of the fall.

The last movie which i found interesting was 'Safe House'. I saw it on Choti Eid.

Django Unchained and Inglorious ******** was an unpleasant surprise. Garbage. I left watching both of them in the middle. Could never believe its the same Tarantino who made top-notch movies like Pulp Fiction...!!!

I agree with you rizkhan. I would want to see more movies of that kind and not some kid comics turned action movies.

I mean legends of the fall had war, love, emotions, family issues, big egos, big brains, politics, indians, gangs and other stuff in it all combined into one great picture.

I watch tv series a lot, and by a lot i mean like 4-5 hours a day:)

The first Tv show i started watching seriously was Game of thrones, and it was quite fun!

It is perfect if you're interested in Medieval type of fighting, clothing and these forts etc.

Next was Spartacus: One of the best i've watched. The storyline and everything. Sad that the male actor had to pass away IRL in season 1. Quite fun if you like Roman type of history. Reminds me a bit of the movie "300".

Now, i am watching True blood. I am currently on first episode, season 4. Season 3 was the best one imo and i am loving it!
