Aoa. Need info from new vitara users..Today I went to hill station pir chanasi approximately 1 hour drive from Muzaffarabad..so I had to ascend from 2500 feet above sea level to 8200 feet in just 45 minutes so u can imagine road inclination. After start of snow region all cars were loosing traction.

I was wondering if vitara needs snow chain or it snow mode is sufficient to move forward without snow chain..I was on 2000cc diesal car which has lot of torque for such a sharp ascend. i want to buy vitara but confused about its resale keeping in mind its initial cost..so please share your experience

Are you sure about that? Even the Lexus LX570 doesn't have a front differential locker. The only car I know of that has both front and rear lockers is the Mercedes G Wagon.

Vitara comes with all-weather tyres. The snow mode is a bit of a gimmick. You'll need tyre chains.

I think its a "simulated lock" which uses the traction control system to keep the wheels spinning at same rate

Salam brother's . I own a Vitara GLX and it is far better in Quality as compared to our locally manufactured car's. It's best for daily driving and it's a sheer driving pleasure as you can maneuver the car easily on the roads .Has minimum maintenance cost as only oil and filter are changed till now as i have driven 11000km's . For those who want to enjoy the ride i would strongly recommend this crossover for daily use. Only for people who are not concerned about its resale value and want to keep the car for 3 years minimum !!

Thank you for the feedback. Let me add that i am clocking around 25,000 km on my Vitara and the only expense so far is still the oil and filter changes.

The drive is still as good as the day I took it out of the dealership.

Due to the recent USD-PKR conversion rate change, I heard the brand new, zero meter Honda HR-V is now selling at around PKR 42 lac. That is what the Atlas website shows too. Any idea about current price of new Vitara GLX anyone?

Has any brother experienced this fault in Vitara that sometimes the steering button's donot work . I have to go to the touch screen and press the steering button icon and reset the button's and set them again .. then it works perfectly .
