What exactly is 'lock mode' on the Vitara? Is it an electronic central differential lock? When you're not in lock mode, is just a 2WD car or AWD?

Lock mode locks up the front and rear differentials to maximise traction in muddy terrain or if it detects the vehicle to be stuck.
In auto mode its in 2wd which switches to 4wd on demand.

Just bought Vitara GLX in torquiose color.
Drove it back to Lahore from Multan.
I have been driving Toyota Surf 2003, Civic reborn, City 2010 and Mazda RX8..
I must say it really amazed me, felt thrilled behind the wheel.
Very very capable ride.
Loved its control and grip.. its responsive throttle and sound of engine is particularly soothing to ears and eyes lol.
Very effective paddle shifters.
Its pick is quite good in and off sports mode as well.
