Yesterday I met the MD of the company who are doing the Navigation Software of the 2013 Civic. Actually "Tracking World" (Company which does the Navigation for Honda) has out sourced the software further to another company.

Met the PhD Doctors who'll be actually working on the platform development. Some leaks are

1. Platform will be Android Based

2. It'll also be connected to OBD Connector at the back end so you can view and monitor Live parameters of the Car

3. They are planning to incorporate another level of security through the Navigation suite, owing to the increasing car theft In Pakistan.

4. Their Delivery of the product to Tracking World is in December,2012.

In North America, I think they are planning on redesigning the Civic for 2013 - possibly Honda Pakistan may further delay introducing the Civic here till mid next year.

The current shape of the Civic is still selling well - so if Honda is really redesigning the Civic again, it makes sense for Atlas to wait for a while longer.

We just booked 2 Civics for my family today in Honda SharaeFaisal and had a good gupshup with the Manager who is a family friend -- no new shape of Civic is planned for release as per his statement till early 2013 in Pakistan.

He said they are still clearing backlogs of orders and are taking new ones daily for current Civic - no chance of new shape at least till Feb 2013 - will be clearer after Eid.

a) Honda Shara-e-Faisal and Defence are known to be the worst dealerships,
b) You bought 2 cars, Y would they tell u new shapes coming
c) Honda and Suzuki has this problems of keep taking bookings and launch the new model, They keep selling old and new models side by side till stocks end.

Maybe ur right but their are pretty much changes of Civic to be launched latest by the last quater of 2012, Or atleast start taking new bookings.
