well thanks fpr all ur support and all celica lovers are wellcome to watch it anyday they want provided they come to multan or wait for me when i m in lahore or islo, i ll be coming there soon after i upgrade it to hunt some supras and evos well lets see what happens i think i should be able to beat atleast the Rx8s and fairladies:)
Usman you know its ironic but i had read you post a year back and started searching for this car and mine is the only AWD one atleast to my knowledge. The other Celicas you see have the feeble 1.6l engine and fwd and later 7th gen have 1.8L either VVTI or VVTIL the former making 140HP and later making190HP but mine makes 230HP stock abd now that it has lightened FLY wheel and stage3 clutch with uprated fine tuning belts it ll be around 270 HP i guess

its a hot ride the power is sheer fun!! they r a few GTs in Pakistan i can remmber one in same colour as this but not a GT4 thr is a silver GT4 97 in karachi also which is also a nutter!! mashallah u definately got a rare ride thr!

Saadzae bro the HP is a function of all the things combined not just boost, a lightened fly wheel reduces the engines inertia meaning higher revs and less power loss same is the case with clutch, and also the timing belts which make the fine tuning easy and inc HP.
@CrashD dude thanks its a legendry car which won the WRC five times for toyota and it was the first japanese car to win the WRC ever making its way for the subaru and EVOs.

Sir I get it that upgrading the clutch+flywheel might have reduced the parasitic loss incurred by engine due to the rotational mass but as a part of the whole system it cannot give you 30bhp. the ability to rev sharply and quickly is more synonymous with upgraded drivetrain components+ reducing clutch slippage by improving the clamping force.

@saadzae well the last time i checked Flywheel is part of drive train and so is the clucth which as per you calculation has been upgraded so that means the engine revs faster which means easy boost but hey its just a friendly discussion i know this coz i can feel the difference the whole car feels lighter now ..

Great! you proved my point since the drive train is a component to transmit power(created by the engine) to the wheels, i.e it has no part in making any power. but rather how efficiently the power gets transmitted to the gearbox and then the transfer case and then the drive shafts. the engine might rev faster no doubt but the power remains somewhat same give or take a few hp.
and I was about to say the same that this is a friendly discussion I certainly am willing and eager to learn new things. so just clearing a few facts. MashAllah whatever the hp ratings ST185 GT4's have been an all time favorite of mine.

so we can sumarise by the saying that since the fly wheel is lighter so the traditional HP quoted by the companies is also increased and so is the WHP coz of the clutch Truce now and hey you can drive myGt4 whenever you get a chance

yes but the increment is not 12.5% over the manufacturer's original HP ratings but no doubt there is an increase in power and more importantly the engine response is greatly improved.

mention not mate i should thank you and i would say i driven both rx8 and celica both are very different in response and utility celica i would personally rate much higher coz of the power available and its not too heavy specially if u just spend 50ks and get a carbon hood

Now THIS is a car!

In a standing mile competition over here, a Celica GT4 ST185 Alltrac ran 210mph on 35psi boost.
It was dyno'd at over 800hp to the wheels @ 48psi!!!!!
