Day 1
We gathered at shadara junction at around 10pm first to arrive was Omer and me,
the last guy to arrive was @angel82 and then @nomi1 both were just finishing up there last minutes tweaks to there bikes..
so instead of take off at 10:30 we exited lahore at 1AM ...can you just imagine that ?
But atlast we thought that would be enough for tonight... but things were just warming up in real... worst was about to happen... as I said GT road is a CURSE it really is...
We hardly exited the kala shah kaku tool plaza and heard @RocketScience to stop in inquiring he pointed us his gas tank which was leaking... I was like Oh no... the curse of GT Road has started every body had a good luagh on that ...
any ways We directed that the group should continue the journey and only 1~2 riders will stop to rectify the issue...
and the team left and continued the journey...
Now we started to diagnose the issue we found few spots under the tank which seemed to be repaired earlier as the dirt bike is 20+ years old.. so we got the Magic Depoxy out and cleaned those areas and filled it... then waited for it to dry out...
then we lifted the bike again but found out few more leaks.. then we filled those ... then waited again then again tested.. this time still there were leakes but the point where it was leaking was under the tank on the insid of frame..
this was real pain in the a$$ at those hours of night... I knew without removeing the tank from bike and emptying it from ptrol will not get fixed...
we checked our bike feul tanks to see if we have some space in out feul tanks so we can empty this tank for repair... we then moved the feul.. while moving the feul from one tank to other bikes tank.. lot of feul got wasted.. but we did not had any other option..
not after dismounting tank from bike we had complete access to under side and we filled up every doubt ful area of tank
so that there should be no chance of leakage...
it worked this time... but by this time it was 4AM and our team which was traveling ahead of us was already some where near Dina.. and because we worked on bike we were already exhausted and sleepy in first 6 hours of "adventure trip"
Just before leaving lahore in midnight..
@RocketScience draining all feul out of tank to finally investigate the bottom of tank as first two attempts failed
@angel82 soaked in sweat after labor of removing tank...
XR250 laid on side for petrol to go on other side and let magic depoxy dry [first Atempt]
XR250 laid on side for petrol to go on other side and let magic depoxy dry [second Atempt]
@angel82 with his sleepy eyes
I thought screw it... at least now we can storm through empty roads as early as we can we still have good 3 hours before rush hour at least we can cross bhara kahu.. dirtiest traffic jams which is a nerve killer...
BUT I was again wrong.. the GT ROad Curse was not letting go this easy
