After getting new mats for my car I was surprised to know that unlike previous one, the new ones are off smaller size, 4 pieces (older were 5):(, and didnt had velcro under them :o... Due to unavailability of velcro mats used to slip from original position causing car carpet to get dirty/ dusty which then needs vacuum again n again.. so I pasted the velcro under the mats...follow the pics

Equipment used:
1- GMSA


2- 1 yard velcro (30 Rs. / yard)


Procedure:
1- Cut the velcro pieces as per requirement


2- Cut angled corners (optional)


3- Paste with GMSA under mats


and done....


Project finish, car cleaned and covered....(H)

Dear, Cost is only 30 Rupee (cost of velcro), GMSA was already available in home, just buy a velcro from any shop (nalki, buttons, laces wali shop) its in strip shape.

From where one can get Velcro?

as my reply above...I asked my wife to get it on her visit to market, she bought that for me, so this DIY is free of cost for me.... :P:)

One suggestion, first I pasted velcro on driving side mat, the most used mat, and used it for about two weeks to check whether my floor carpet keep the velcro hold or not, after satisfactory result I pasted velcro on other 3 pieces. you are suggested to do the same, coz car's floor carpet may vary on its sticking to velcro.

thank you, yes you can try it, rather rubber would have a better sticking with GMSA as compared to plastic type material of my mats.
First try for any single mat (preferably driver side), it it performs well, go for others....and do share your work..

dint work on my rubber matts maybe the velcros fibres were of too low quality
