Three foreign nationals among top 5 taxpayers

ISLAMABAD - Among the top five major taxpayers in the salaries category, three are foreign nationals while two are Pakistanis who are working at executive level in different departments and drawing salaries in million of rupees.
“Farooque Bengali of Faisal Bank, Hens Dewalve of Proctor & Gamble, PJ Gorgeng Director SHV, Germy David Pike of PTC and Zuhair A Khaliq of Mobilink are among those who paid the highest tax in the salaries category during the financial year 2004-05,” sources disclosed to The Nation here on Monday.
According to the sources, the top five taxpayers in this category were obtaining their salaries above Rs 30 million per annum and they were contributing a substantial amount in shape of repayment of their due taxes.
“Their payment of due taxes varied from person-to-person but these people are major five taxpayers in the FY 2004-05,” the sources confirmed.
