We had been planning to go on trip and were waiting for my semester and then Ramadhan to end.
We had planned to leave for Rawalpindi on 3rd day of the Eid but we were waiting for my Safety Jacket to arrive which got delayed. So we left on 5th day of Shawal and ask the shop owner (in Karachi) to send the jacket to my teachers house (the arrived at my teachers house after 10-12 days which I received after a month).
We stayed at my sister's place for one day in Gujarkhan and then left for Balakot the very next day. Last time in March we came back via Nathia gali-Murree route and really enjoyed it.
We decided to go through that route this time, but...... it was a really bad decision.
It was cold when we came last time and there was snow everywhere but it was the month of june this time. We got dehydrated even before reaching Murree and our water bottle was finished somewhere on the Murree highway. It was really hot and I was riding fast so that we can get out of this hot weather soon but that made it even worse.
The weather got better after Murree but then got hot again after Nathia gali....

We stopped at a point around 50 kms before abbottabad to dip our feet in water..... I think the place is known as Harnoi
The sun was shining with its full majesty. The sun rays were unbearable. We stayed at Harnoi for a while and then decided to move again. My wife was not feeling well due to immense heat and we both were really hungry. We stopped to take water from a shop and then left for Abbotabad.
We did not eat anything till Abbotabad. We kept thinking of stopping every now and then but skipped every restaurant in hopes of finding something better. By the time we reached Abbotabad we were on the verge of passing out due to hunger, so we stopped at a normal Shanwari hotel with no hopes of any good food but to our surprise the food was really good and on top of that the Afghani Kahwa was like a cherry on top of a cake.... I don't know whether the food was really good or we were really hungry........ But We will never forget the experience.
My bike's RPM cable was broken on the night before we left from Lahore. I tried getting it on the way but did not find it at any shop we stopped at. We stopped stopped at a Suzuki shop somewhere around Mansehra and got it replaced.
We left for Balakot after getting the bike fixed.
