Every Veyron is then driven 300 miles to ensure that the work was done properly.
Some are even tested at Volkswagen's test facility, Ehra-Lessien, in Germany
At top speed, the Veyron is covering more than a football field each second.
And it gets three miles per gallon. It runs out of fuel in 12 minutes.
It is then lovingly polished for two days.
Before it is sent to its new owner.
But if you're paying more than $1 million for a car, you expect this level of commitment.
A very informative thread about the Veyron. Although I knew quite a few bits but seeing them together in one solid thread was quite satisfying! Many thanks! Hope you can add more tidbits about the car, this thread needs to be reviewed with a cup of hot tea or coffee:D.
Every veyron sold gifts a loss of 6 million $ to VW

well Buggati is a master piece of industrial /automotive engineering. The volumes are very low and VW spend a lot on R&D. sometimes a product or something have an iconic value and matter of prestige and honor no matter you spend more and more and lose in the end. since 2005 VW sold only around 400 cars. so 6x400= 2400 million in total in car loss, which is nothing what VW/AUDI/Lamborghini/Porsche/Skoda/Scania/Ducatti/Bentley/MAN/Seat/ altogether make in profits..
