Things to look 4 while buying new alloy rims?

ist of all wt brands of alloy rims are good and wt to look 4 while buying.
i ve a budget of 30k and i'm planning to upgrade my khyber from 12 to 13 inch rims and tyres.i ve gone thru lots of thread that supports 13inch wont harm khyber suspension bt confused why every road side mechanic say that it ll create suspension problems more frequent.
i'm thinking about 165/70/13 dunlop sp sports 4900.

p.s also there is a rumour that its gona be hard to find 13" dunlop sp in future 'cause they r not much available in market

In a lay man's term if each of them is lighter in weight to an extent that you can lift them with a single hand above your head provided you do not have Hulk's physique then it is ok.

be sure to check the offset of the wheel that its matched to the original equipment of your car, get some hub alignment shims to make the wheel hubcentric rather than lug centric,

The wheel disc contact area should be nice and chunky - remember that the rim is the brakes biggest heat sink. - small area = overheated brakes.

Means more metal in center of rim do the disk can have thermal contact with bigger area to shed the heat. This will ruin the designs and sho sha

no it wont, as long as the rim's contact face is touching the smooth contact face of the brake disc or hub, you wont lose any sho sha, The problem with chinese brand rims comes out that they have large chunks missing from that area or extra lug holes for diff PCDs, this causes hot rims.

Take a look at OE rims in any car - you'll get the idea. And you should always want the rims to be hubcentric to eliminate any mount issues.

if your car is not JDM it must have the full size spare wheel, the offset would be stamped on it, if you dont have it then look at some other car's wheel. Its written as ETxx
