People here on pw are just being trendy because all the japani pieces lf shit recently imported had no spare tire,

Infact they were even missing paint from inside surfaces.. but because of rosy glasses and living under the raj for long. 90% people literally think that baahar ke rehna walay log ne kya hai, hum se zyada samajhdaar hain.. to theek hi hoga.

I personally own a car/suv here that has runflat tires on it and the space saver spare is sold as option.

I have that option because its literally stupid not to have a spare tire in your suv/truck.

The little glue bottle and compressor is completely useless if you bump and delaminate/blister it or shred it to bits.

Very rarely do people actually have a salvageable flat tire, its almost always shredded like noodles

So if Im driving a car with no spare, and going to hunza valley and get a flat that shreds my tire, I should call it modern technology?

Well.

Screw that, because ancient hiaces crossing me on the highway at the time of flat have spare and jack while Im telling them that Im adapting/following new technology of no spare tire; and magically the glue will install the "missing tire pieces" that were scattered.

Advancement doesnt mean you start following others blindly just to be trendy.

Buy a damn spare or install runflat tires.

Even a BMW comes with a optional spare wheel kit, so does this Alto (yes compromising boot space).

I dont know where is the problem. If anyone needs a spare wheel its avalible optionally.

some year back my friend told me that BMW isnt have a spare wheel. I was shocked and said if some thing happens then. Now i can imagine we are driving a Mini BMW in the name of Alto 660.

Point being this car is basically made for city driving only. And is nothing more than a toy.

I agree it is the cheapest car available for sale in market. But 1.6 million isnt cheap. Nor accessible by a common Pakistani.

The spare wheel is available optionally.

Paksuzuki had no other vehicle lined up to replace the Alto/Mehran. World wide Alto has been replaced by Celerio (cultus in Pakistan).

Alto name plate was left in Japan and India only. With india having its domestic made alto only.

So I guess we have to live with it. If anyone has long travel plans you can always get a roof rack and put the spare wheel up there.

Else getting a puncture on your bad day you can even get 2 flats.

My car's tire had exploded a few times. A spare tyre is a must in cars. The fact is the new alto is an ugly looking piece of overpriced junk.

Old Alto and mehran were far better. Suzuki sucks now.

Quetta is about 800 Kms from Tubat. I used to take two (2) spare tyres while traveling from Quetta to Turbat on Toyota Hilux. Because more or less 400 Kms was metalled and rest was just motorable " Kacha". So you may encounter a different situation any where and any time as such a vehicle without spare tyre is simply inthinkable in Pakistan.
