Think and then decide before you Buy Suzuki Alto

I've recently bought brand new Suzuki Alto AGS vehicle from Macca Motors and upon delivery , I shocked to know there is no spare tyre provided with this vehicle. This surely beyond my understanding with respect to the Pak Suzuki Motors vague philosophy and to seize this mandatory requirement. Even Macca motors haven't informed us this flaw prior to the booking.

The above situation loosen my confidence in Suzuki Motors and thinking not to buy or continue with Suzuki Motors ahead and I'll surely inform this flaw to my colleagues those are interested or planning to buy Suzuki Alto.

I've also written the above scenario to Pak Suzuki motors, but there response was so cold and seems like "who cares".

So, please think about it before you purchase otherwise you have your own choice.

Obviously there is no spare tyre. It’s a kei car and space is too small for a spare tyre. They give you a fix a flat kit instead which I think is good enough. Many automakers even in the US now provide this kit to give more storage space and provide better rear seats legroom.

Before making the purchase you should have studied what you are getting with the car. It’s not Suzuki’s fault. Automotive philosophies are changing with time. You have to adapt to the changing environment.

And also create a big problem.

If your tire literally shreds to pieces, you are stalled and need to call a tow truck, (which is very painful if you are on highway at 3am in some rural area)

My opninion,

Buy a spare wheel and jack etc. Put it in a duffle bag and put that in the car.

roads are not same as US in pakistan..
secondly there should be openly return that ye ye gadi mei nhi hoga instead of small stars in the end of specifications.

Roads in usa are shit. And most drivers today are idiots too.

On first puncture they get to know that the liquid and compressor take 30 minutes to pump up if the tire is not shredded.

Run flats are a weird evil, they make the car feel like it has cement tires.

in fact, i am shocked to know that you were shocked by the fact it had no spare tyre..there are about a trillion reviews of Suzuki Alto on internet, all explaining it has no spare tyre...

Well, that's how it is bro. you'd have to live with it or else you can sell it to me in March InshaAllah i'll be buying a car (preferably Alto) : ) but i've a budget of 14.50 lakhs ..

OR you can buy a stepney and wrap it in a plastic and keep inside the car !

Everything is true but the thing is that why are you discouraging others to buy this car?? It’s your mistake that you didn’t know about the things provided with the car. It’s not like Suzuki is trying to hide this.

Should have just read the specifications by Suzuki before buying the car. They give a list of complete accessories.
No use crying after the fact. Just buy a spare tire and live on.

i checked picture of one of my insurance client - this is the actual setup in Alto 660cc by PakSuzuki. i hope you missed this clear thing while inspecting the vehicle at time of booking.

I use my alto for daily intracity commute and i have removed the spare wheel (to reduce the weight).
On long routes, highways motorways one must keep a spare. So in my opinion its a drivers choice how much risk he is willing to take.

A spare wheel wont cost more than a few thousand rs. Dont ruin the charm of brand new vehicle on petty issues. I would suggest to buy a “donut” spare wheel of Japanese cars. That is smaller and lighter as compared to standard spare wheel.

Hi Bro, I think there is no need of spare wheel if you driving within city.
I own Alto brand new, we had travel to Lahore last week, in same car WITHOUT Spare Wheel !!
Allhumdillah, nothing happened to my tyres so don't discouraged potential buyers, just because of silly bullshit

You drive a car having 4tyres with no spare in pakistan and say after every trip Alhamdulillah nothing happened . Had you piece of mind while traveled to lahore? In remote areas where only hope is spare tyre and still you think it is bullshit silly... Wow salute to every one who thinks spare tyre is silly thing. Yes this will be silly when tyres will not be inflated. I see nearly 3 to 4 vehicles on motorway punctured or shreded...

New cars with new tyres dont puncture or shred unless you force em too or run it above/below its design parameters...... i changed my factory tyres after 70k km on cultus without any puncture....now i have 50k on 2nd same tyres without any puncture.

Yes, spare tyres are expected to be in each car in pakistan and this is first time any pkdm car has done this..... around 20k altos have been sold till now and people did complain about it ... but instead of blaming they found a way around it....they bought spare tyre and will InshAllah never use (face hassle of changing it) it untill the approx optimum tyres' life of 40/50k kms.

Its no use complaining about it coz PS is just following and applying what japan market tell em.

By that reasoning, I have never been in a serious accident in 7 years of driving old Suzuki deathtraps - I can say that seat belts, ABS, airbags and crumple zones are unnecessary too.

That is not a big issue, you;re making a mountain out of a mole. Enjoy the new car and stop fretting bout a spare wheel. Buy a donut tire if you really need it. It's like saying I don't get headphones with my new phone! Times have changed and so has product packaging and contents.

Last week my Altis tyre yokohama bursted due to a big khadda in middle of road it was 10pm very cold and was area notorious for kidnapping. My only hope was a spare tyre.i changed it and there i go. Think what would be the situation if there would be no spare tire
