Guys, I have a question:

Two months ago i changed my vitz gear oil with Original Toyota CVTF's But on that I didn't know there were variants like TC or FE and I also don't know which one I used but It was original and costed me Rs 5500. Now after reading above comments Borther @basitali87 mentioned one should use 4.8 liter But I used 4 liter.

Now what shall I do? Change the whole oil again as I didn't know about TC or FE now I have come to know that FE is required. Your humble advice needed

If you have the receipt or empty box, you can find out. Also 2 litre prints of same 4 litre is also available. Never overfill or underfill CVT fluid.

If you can't find out what you poured in CVT, then just have it done again. You can find out which one to use by looking at CVT oil inlet bolt. It's written there TC or FE. IT WILL COST YOU BUT IT WILL SAVE YOU FROM BIG TROUBLE OF FENDING AND REPLACING THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION.

That 4.8 Ltr is radiator coolant qty.

CVT capacity is 6.23 ltr. Max
That is when fully drained transmission. Even by taking off the bottom plate and new filter installed, the capacity would be less than that mention as some of oil is still left in chamber and alleys.

I believe one can not fully drained CVT oil. The process I followed previously is Mechanic drained 4 liter oil and then pour 4 liter new one. SO i think 4 liter is enough.

The services manual also don't mention how to open the screws. I mean not everything is mentioned in service manual. This is an automotive common tasks checklist. I don't think it's overkill. This is maintenance and it's not meant to be done every other day. Each of these services are to be performed if needed. These are more of items of checklist.

Yes one must use FE if car model is 2014 and above. I think after having proof all clear now Alhumdolillah.

Today drove in s gear. There wasn't any slowing down at 15 km/h but a loosening effect at 25km/h.

If FE is written on your inlet bolt then I believe you must use FE. No problem with that

Guys there is a lot of discussion going on different threads, Synthetic and semi synthetic.
What does the manual say in this regard ??
API SN/SN+, ILSAC GF5, ACEA A5/B5 etc bla bla bla.
I ve read it says viscosities this.
Petrol this.
Oil grading this.
TP this.
I haven't seen synthetic n semi anywhere ??
Anybody please?
