Hmmm... Yes, it may be the case, but I personally believe that one should thoroughly go for the specific owners / users manual for that car, instead of some hit and trial.
Like in case of Vitz, latest owners / users manuals are available on Toyota website (I have posted the links above), however, the issue is, they are in Japanese language. But luckily, in case of Vitz, we have some helping hand in the form of owners / users manuals for Yaris (for USA, Canada, UK, etc.). They are in English language, but one may keep in mind, they are not exact 100% English translation of Japanese manuals! (There are some differences in many places)
I think, one should follow Japanese manuals, especially for values, or some terms, which are understandable. Then follow Yaris manuals, but also keeping good understanding approach and sense in mind, and not to trust and follow them blindly.
Best would be to study and keep both of them side by side (like I did), and study the English manual. When values or special terms come, refer to Japanese manual, and still, if many things are not understandable, one may refer to experts.
(I have studied Yaris manual last week, and will share some interesting & informative things from the manual, along with pics, whenever I get some spare time. IN SHA ALLAH)
