Thoughts on Sixth Gen Corolla (1987 - 1991)

I'm thinking of getting a used car but my budget is not that great. It's around 5 lac. I really like the design of sixth gen corolla. If I get this car, should I expect frequent trips to the mechanic? Also what average should I expect with this car?

Previous year we were finding a car for my friend and it’s budget was also around 4.5 to 5 lacs we saw a car in somewhere and it was 1988 toyota with efi engine alloys,gray colour and no rust wala seen on the car.i personally drove the car and the car was like a charm haalan k gari thora machenical work b mang rhi thi.specially i like it’s dashboard all needle design which is uff good​️️...baaqi choice is yours.baaqi maintanance wise suzuki mehran ya khyber,cultus,alto se ye gaariyan kaafi bhaaro hy specially with efi technologies but jidhr b le kr jao tension na hogi k ye gari masla kry gi.

Glad to hear your friend got a good deal on this car. I also really love the interior and exterior design of this car. A nice mix of classic and modern. And yes I heard about the reliability of this car. That's why it's my first choice. I do plan to be using this for long trips.

To get some idea, you may get some idea by looking at Pakwheels and OLX used cars sections (by applying relevant filters), but keep in mind that sellers are demanding exuberant prices for the cars (so demands can be unrealistic), e.g. if an abc Cultus car is being demanded for 10 lac PKR, then you might be able to grab it somewhere around 7.5-9.5 lac PKR,depending on seller and buyer, and car's overall condition.

BTW, we are strange people indeed, when someone asks to get a Mehran, we discourage by mentioning all the faults and showing death at the same time recommend to get an older Rolla,Civic Baleno cultus etc saying way better as compared to Mehran blah blah...

And when someone asks to get an Older Rolla,civic etc. we present a sorry figure that only any abused car be acquired etc etc...

God level decision making needed to tackle all this advice!

Dear Brother price of a car depends on registration number.In range of 6.5 lack you will get maintained car.which u can use for long routes.I have 1999 Corolla and car is very reliable.We have travelled from Peshawar to Lahore on the car last month and did not give us any trouble.Just avoid cng used cars because it ruins vehicles reliability.

These are long life cars sir especially in this old card category i always prefer imported over local as their build quality are so much impressive
By the way in this budget a good imported 1986 corolla aram se asakti hy kia khayal hy?
