I was trying to explain to the mechanic about cleaning the throttle body? Wat is it called in Urdu?

Same thing happened with my mechanic. I told him to clean the throttle body. He asked me what's that? Then I told him to clean the carburetor and he cleaned the throttle body.

Desi mechanics don't understand "throttle body" they still call it carburetor.

Once I told a Mechanic that my Corolla doesnt have a carburator and he was like "are u barking mad? ? " (in Punjabi offcourse) lol !

what do u mean if they can find it? Actually, the reason for this post was because I was trying to explain to a friend's mechanic who was trying to tell him to clean the throttle body on his vitz.

Actually In a fuel injection engine, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to driver input. While the accelerator is often called a "gas pedal", it would be more accurate to describe it as an "air pedal".

The throttle body is usually located between the air filter box and the intake manifold, and usually attached to, or near, the mass airflow sensor.

Throttle body in Toyota vitz 2005 its part number 22030-40010
but same time can some exsplane me the meaning of PGM Or it is same Throttle body in local words

tyrone_40 It is mainly located between airfilter box and manifold or else you can just go to Toyota Motors in Islamabad and get it cleaned from there for some money.Easy as that.

Dear Brothers, I just wanted to share a issue with my Vitz 99 Throttle body, maybe if someone experience the same issue, he might get a faster solution.

Issue:
1- My Car automatic chokes up, during driving and on idle. (It seems like car is always having High RPM)
2-When mechanic tries to lower its RPM using the provided screw on throttle body, the car RPM can increase, but cannot decrease.
3-As my car was automatic, so automatic choke drives the car by itself and i just have to keep braking.

Resolution:
After checking several items and trying to figure out the issue, it was found out that the butterfly of the throttle body which is of metal has been degraded from its round sides, leaving some space for air and mixture even at idle state of the accelerator.

Now either you can change the butterfly ring, or change throttle body. Both will bring back the car to normal state.
This happens usually to older cars.
Images show the real truth. By the way all the sensors were working Ok.Thanks to my mechanic for figuring out.

Salam bhai mery pass 2007 vitz hain mera massla y hain k agar me gare ko ac k bager drive karo t koe issue nahe hain but jab me ac k on karta h 3 4gente k lea t gare missing starts katre hain and per engein off jata hain jab electrion k dekta ho wo just plug saff karke kehta hain masla khtam but month m 3 bar y issue hota hain plz help
