Timing Chain Issues and shock absorber

Hello everyone. I have Honda CD 70 2014 model and now I'm facing an annoying problem. My bike has been driven 20,000 kms and I had to get my timing chain changed at 18,000 kms because it started to make a faintly whistling sound. My mechanic told that timing chain needs to be replaced so I changed my timing chain and replaced the original one with the Japanese RK-M Takasago one. The month was of September so it was quite warm at that time and bike made no sound. But now when I start my bike in morning or on a cold start now in winters, it makes a loud " Tak-Tak-Tak-Tak" and "Khar-Khar" sound. My mechanic told me that sound is perfectly normal and is due to cold winter start. The sound goes for a minute and diminishes itself and after 5-6 hours when started again it makes the same sound but for 10-15 seconds. My previous timing chain never made a noise like this even in winters. I use Atlas Honda's Engine Oil and usually change oil exactly after 1000 kms and get my bike tuned exactly after 2000 kms. Has my timing chain gone bad again mechanic says that it's alright. Other bikes don't make such sound if it's normal

And one more thing my front shock absorbers make thak thank sound on even small "khadda on road" (Sorry for the improper word). I got my front shocks serviced and mechanic used engine oil on front shock absorbers. They also get pressed when someone sits on the bike. Mechanic says that they are soft and it's normal factory ones are quite hard and they become soft too with the passage of time but my shocks get pressed to much on a small hole "Khadda" on road. Why??

Got shocks never use engine oil.
Buy stp power steering fluid and pour 120-130cc per shock.
Some says it's 75-85cc some say its 120-130cc.. Pouring more world make them stiff but you can bleed them easily while still in bike.
If above isn't available then try atf oil.

Never use engine oil.

20k for timing chain is too little mileage.

Is there any strength in timing chain retention spring?

Your Kar Kar noise can be due to many things.. Try some other mechanic.

Brother thank you for your reply. I was testing for the timing chain sound again and again it was making that rattling sound and on increasing throttle, it makes a "Khar Khar" sound too which is quite distinct. I don't know why is this happening to my timing chain. I always take good care of my bike. My mechanic states that When timing chain runs dry that's why it makes noise and when it gets wet with oil, it becomes silent. Is it True??

Time Chain Khar Khar sound in Winter Cold Start is normal - AHL CD 70 default problem but it should go after warm up.

That's because engine oil takes time to goes towards the head start lubrication. Because engine oil become thick due to cold.

Thank You Guys for the reply. But my genuine timing chain never made this "Khar-Khar" sound and a loud "Tak Tak" sound which goes for 30 seconds. I used the RK-M Japanese timing chain. My bike's ignition coil is also small in size I think. I had to get it changed because someone cut it and I bought the genuine one for 1400 should I send a photo ?

There's a spring that helps timing change to tight and loose according to Rpm. You can check that.
Your choice.

Today I figured out an other problem. I just stopped by the side of the road and saw that the needle of my speedometer was stuck on 20 km/h. I thought that it might have occurred due to winter but when I drove the bike to higher speed, the needle stuck to 40 and very slowly came back to zero. I also observed that the needle was also trembling (shaking). I went to another mechanic and he told me that I need to replace the speedometer. He asked me that whether my motorcycle was involved in an accident. According to him and accident or a blow to a speedometer results in such a condition. My bike or speedometer never suffered a blow and I don't want to change speedometer cuz it an original "ALSONS" meter and odometer will also become zero. What I believe is that I should change the meter cable and it would solve the problem. But I'm not a pro in bikes so I need your help guys. I drive my bike very very carefully and I don't know why has it happened.

Replace cable if not check from meter repair wala every bike repair market has got one

Thanks for your reply. I changed my speedometer and replaced it with the genuine Atlas Honda though I costed me 900 RS. Meter cable was alright cuz it was giving the meter the right reading but needle used to get stuck itself. But my timing chain makes a very loud noise on cold starts. I know that my last chain never made a slight noise on cold starts.

Change the spring of timing chain adjuster rod and its top rubber.
Use Sakht Tarr wala hard spring not the normal soft one. Costs 30rs.
Engine oil ka sath Jo nut hotha ha its there.
