similarly the cars wid green plates,army air force navy police cars r never stopped
even jet black will never b stopped unless the guy rolls down the window for them to peek inside they will def stop

strange,does any1 implements the motorway rule?

That is only a gimmick now, In karachi when such a drive is started they stop every Tom dick and harry, maybe they leave them later but now they are stopping everyone.

All big cars, may it be tints, or chance of a smuggled / NCP car.

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). 70% front and rear while any % for back screen provided you have both side view mirrors as well as rear view mirror here in NYC. No metallic or reflective tint allowed.
NYPD hardly stops anyone on tints but they keep tint meter in their cars always. Most of the times you are stopped for some other reason ( random or if you do some violation) and if they see a dark tints, they will check that for sure. Tint fine is $95 per window.
Most of the cops will give you a warning or give you a ticket for only one window if your driving record is good. otherwise $95 x number of windows illegal. If you remove tints and visit the local police department, the fine will be cancelled. Police will never touch or tear apart the tints at all.

Rear windshield is also 50% tinted. My cars are even sindh registered and no one stops. Never ever got ticket on tints also. I strictly follow proper number plate design.
If I remember I was only stopped at blue area check post. Talked to them nicely and all went good. Only got stopped at G-10 check post and cop misbehaved initially. Showed him the proper documentation and he said sorry himself at the end. @chaudhary9 remove front tint. and get your car tinted 50% rear and front 25%. I'm sure no one will stop you if you unless someone really wants to create a mess.

i didnt changed my number plates,they are in default design as i got them,no muffler exhaust loud sound stuff either,always carry attested reg copy which they themself once told about to carry
they just wanna either remove it or want chai pani instead but apologize....never
night time driving is such a breeze now wid this tint at front,no annoying lights

2 friends got tickets with 25% tints in last few days in isb

mine was also faded at the back,got that removed n got fresh again

in which city u asked them?
ask ITP officer they'll say u'll be challaned even for 0% tint

i think about a month ago..yes he had a chalaan book in hand..he was just done doing chalaan of a car with jet black tints..

while passing through f8 exchange signal saw two ITP officers holding challan books but none stopped me

i always pray for a safe journey n to be invisible to these daemons

kis duniya mein hain jnb,sakhti to hai par log b badey funkaar hain
i was in F9 park E9 gate,there were many cars in many corners at day time
one corolla with shades on all windows was parked alone under a tree,a perfect spot n while passing from its front there was no one on front seats where as no one got out of car either

i knew scene was on so i didnt peeked

there was one couple both young,hanging out freely n too openly lol

shades ka kiya hai dobara b lag jain

yea there was a guard at this side which isnt on F10 side n due to him cars kept changing spots from here to there

Whats the challan policy towards JDM cars? As most JDM cars have factory fitted dark tinted rear windscreens and rear side windows. Personally i prefer not to tint any windows. In sunny weather I sometimes use black screens on side and rear windscreen.

even shade on rear windshield blocks the view completely,there's one car parked right outside my home wid shade on rear windshield,tried to see through,u cant peek in nor can u see through,i wonder if the driver can see through that where as wid tint u can

ITP challans for shades as well
if police cant remove the tint like factory fitted then they dont have any option but to let u go but those r light in shade n people go for dark on them

I was charged with Rs.300 fine on using 25% tints on 5th Feb, 2014 after I came out of Lahore Airport. And the car after me was also tinted but the Patrolling Police guy didn't stop him.
He said "we've instructions to fine tinted cars" but I assume where the hell their instruction go when it comes to SUVs, BMs and Mercs? Rules should be equal for every citizen.

You don't have to wait that much and give money, wait for them to count it, print a receipt and lift the barrier thingy.

Using an E-tag device, you register it onto your name and CNIC and it works like a prepaid sim card. Everytime you pass, it will deduct money and even show remaining credit.
