thanku please tell how to find out that wires are leaking current?
Try parking ur car in dark at night and race it a bit if u see litle sparks arround leads tgen tgey are leaking.. and to ease the leakage u can create a mist by sprayer and then check whether its leaking or not.
wow thx i am gonna try it now
Shock absorbers, z-links, control arms. All new avaialble sir.
control arms mean chimta?if yes then whats the price of a pair (new)?
Yes new are availble, and good quality thai are in range of 5500 pair. Its sugeested that with control arms z-links and other bushes must be changed at once to feel the new feel or else it wil be like k abhi to badla tha maza nae aya... And remember i gave u suggestion for ur steering assembly but ap ny press hui ve layvli and wo dobara ply kr gai ha.
yes i know . thats why i have decided to buy new assembly this time (if i didnt get the EPS) and change the arms as well.what will be the estimated cost for all this job i.e steering assembly, arms and bushes without laber?
Nauman bro hos new steering assembly is not availble in market once i tried sourcing one and it was astonishingly high priced like on retail it was around 39 thousand rupees. A good kabli will work but u have to buy from trusted with guarantee of atleast 2 weeks. Non powered steering racks are however availbke at a price of arround 10k. Z links are arround 1500 pair. And other bushes arent that expensive. How much dis u paid for old steering that u are currently using? U need to check for power pump as well to see if its providing the acurate pressure for baleno rack or its producing more pressure then baleno steering rack can habdle?
I paid 4500 for that crap. Yes regarding pump thr are serious confusions as the pump is different from the OEM. Once i tried to change the pump as well but could not due to fitting issues. Some previous owner had done many modifications with pullies. the compressor is also not of baleno. As per one mechanic the adjuster pully is also changed to match it with compressor pully. i am very confused about all that.pump, Compressor and adjuster all pullies are single track while all these should be multiple trek type.
Brother 4500 is not the rate for steering rack u definitely paid fr a civil repaired rack, nominal price for a good kabli rack starts from 8 thousand now. And yes previous owner made sich a mess out of it as u described, u need to spend a little to set it back to original. Baleno on stock uses 4 trek serpentine belt. If u are islamabad u can get the setup from me i can arrange original stuff On discounted prices. And if u want to figure out what u need you can inspect my baleno for original setup aswell.
do i need to change the pullies only? or complete setup (i.e compressor , pump)? and yes that assembly was repaired. Yes now i am thinking either to spend enough to restore it to orignal or just leave it untill it goes. The other option is to convert it to EPS if reasonably possible
No one can deduce without having a look that what needs to be changed. And wat sort of jugar actually it is. Balenos hps is very smooth and works like any other hps car. Stovk is the way to go forward. Eps isnt that great if u dont find a excellent mechanic which is a rare sight in pakistan.Imo Compressor will work with original setup.
then i have to wait till this compressor dies. one more thing i need to know.I feel that my car's radiator fan starts too late. Although heat needle does not go up but it feels like engine is too hot. when i open the bonut every thing is too hot. is it normal for baleno?
Yes if needle sits a little below or at the center then its normal, my baleno does the same..
its not remains little below , its remain exactly at the center. i fear that this too much heat might reduce the life of wiring, battery and sensors . and most of all it may effect AC piping.
do you have thermostat installed along with auto fan?
yes. i have also changed the T-valve to check if problem solved but the situation remains same.i thnk valve opens at its time but its fan that starts late. i am also thinking to make the fan direct but afraid due to bad experience of getting ecu damaged
Its fine if it stays at middle for most of the time. And dont go for direct fan its not good for consumption and engine eitger.
To start, few months ago i got Kabli rear shocks installed. Though i went to get new shocks as there is not much price difference in new and kabli, and i personally never had good experience with Kabli parts but mechanic was unfortunately able to cast spell on me and lure me into buying kabli shocks. At bilal gunj new story started. Shopkeeper showed me two type of shocks, the normal ones and the other ones that i bought, bit heavy with bottle on side and shocks really looked something. Firstly i need to know what is the purpose of side bottle and secondly they are very very stiff, is there any way to soften them? @xulifqar
These are the twin tube shocks installed in vehicle uses for motor sports and they are stiff because to keep the ride smooth on harsh and rough surface. The bottle attached is the fluid reservoir.
Can it be made softer by removing some of the fluid?
