Tips for Baleno

last time when i checked, suzuki township was on PECO road township...dont know it they changed location...

if there is milky cream inside oil cap , it shows oil/water mixed up and engine oil lubrication compromised badly...
if u run the car in such condition it may cause extensive damage to engine internals due to no or less lubrication in addition to stress caused by overheating....

my suggestion is to get it carried or towed to workshop...

i know a case with honda city and compression leak into cooling system blew up radiator, oil pump got faulty in addition to clogged up engine internals and got deformed due to heat up....it was a total mess and engine was swapped later on...

Anyone have Chinese axle experience with Baleno? Mine are bad of both sides and needs replacement. Quote i got 5500 kabli guaranteed and around 4k Chinese pair. Outer cv joints only

Chinese and original....both are different in structure.

if original used parts are in good nick and not repaired, you can verify them by visual examination after opening it up, then go for original used part just because it is well built as compared to Chinese ones which are cheaper even being new caz of lighter structure.

do remember to use original new axle grease in required quantity, 90g i think is enough, also do remember to take as much as u can while installing rubber boot.

infact u can get axle grease tube and grips from new axle boxes and use them with ur verified axles...

do verify the rubber boot because damaged boot is the major reason behind axle failure.

P.S. if you can source genuine new part, then nothing like that

Actually my cam sensor was mistakenly broken by chota mechanic while gear oil change. He put some pressure while loosing nutt and its grip got broken thats why i replaced. For kabli parts i dont have any specific shop number. Alhamdolillah my car is in pretty good condition with 59k odo so i dont visit mechanic or parts dealer frequently. Just visit sultan ka khoo pr mitthu ka ahata n there u can have some details who has baleno parts.

I installed kabli & Chinese axles outers in my liana. Both ended too early. Then i installed new Japan made nkn axles outers and its third year and noiseless. Japanese costed 6500 in 2016. Now, Japanese new for Baleno are over 10k a pair. Do you suggest Chinese outers? Budget constraint is there

if both chinese n kubuli r without warranty then i will opt fpr 3 spoke kabuli in good nick...

if chinese r backed up by one year warranty then go for it...

Chinese are backed by 6month warranty. Kabli ki 3 month tou dete hain wo khud. But my experience with kabli is not good. I believe they are same scrapped taken out things from our own cars, repaired and then again sold to someone else in the name of kabli. As this car is long discontinued worldwide so there are very thin chances that its saman of good quality is still being imported

actualy i reppaced one side oiter CV joint only once...and that too many yrars ago...i opted for same item whoch was already installed....have to go for kabuli as new one was above 30k from dealer ship...and chinese iCV joint was different in structure and weight...did not like that at that time...

i used this oil and my observation - fuel efficiency have gone extremely good - before i used to fill CNG of Rs. 600 and it used to run max for 65-70Kms till total empty. however, the first cng fill of Rs. 600 with this oil usage went for 89km. then i filled cng of Rs. 800 and it went for 110km and it was not fully empty. the same i observed when i once used ZIC 20/50 Synthetic in my Cultus efi and my fuel efficiency was too outstanding. otherwise i used SGO Premium 10/40, Shell yellow 10/40 and the fuel average was not impressive. pick wise i have found no difference in any of the oils i used except for Shell yellow one which indeed made engine a bit quieter. maybe these Synthetic oils are too good for G-series ones. keep in mind that the driving routes, traffic congestion, cng station remains constant.

So this the condition of the head and as per suzuki motors cylinder 2 is a bit weak but we will face the head only.

So far only head gaskit which according to suzuki motors is 8500 and around 4000 labour and 1500 for head facing. No other part will get the car tomorrow.

so are they going to use new head bolts?

also let them verify valve and valve seals....good chance to check and replace them if leaking

also please perform compression test after head job is done....dont let them make excuse that it will improve magically with time

Authorised dealer are very costly.and technicians are the same not even they are DAE.

Thank you for your reply but at the moment they are testing the car and I am on my way to pick it. For compression how much should be the values. Although I don't think they would do that now.

Above 180 shud be reasonable...my car had above 200 when we checked last time...
