Tips for Baleno

Baleno manual which i have is about 1515 pages and in which section 6 is completely missing.
Is any one have section 6 kindly share

I have a baleno 2000 with a G13B. The problem is that my car takes very long to start when it's cold but when it's hot it cranks with a half self. Any idea where the problem is?

1. Get the self start service done. Clean and lubricate it.
2. Check for battery health as well.
   I hope issue will be resolved.

So just an update, after driving 700kms there's no water reduction either in radiator or in expansion tank. There isn't much carbon in exhaust too. No smoke of any kind. But when I check oil in the morning it is an mm short of the 2nd point. But after car is started and it reaches its optimum temp the dip stick shows its perfectly OK. Is this normal behavior.

Secondly is there any possibility it will start reducing oil if I go on highway. @margallar

good to know that...immediately shift to coolant... oil level good mashAllah...

rev it carefully at standstill....notice any oil burning smell or blue smoke from exhaust...if no then i dont see any issue with highway drive.....these cars r meant to be driven like how they meant to be...and no way like sports cars or high performance cars

Hi guys.

My baleno is reducing brake oil even though all the brake pads are new. Any idea what could it be? There are no leaks near the brake lines as well.

oil level in reservoir reduces with brake pads depletion...else only leakage will account for reductions in that. how is brake pedal behavior? rock solid or spongy?

areas to check oil leakage:

under steering...where brake pedal plunger is going to master brake cylinder.
the rubber pipes in front calipers do swell with age and must be replaced as per service manual.
rear brake cylinder seals sometimes start leaking..check all these areas carefully..

The pedal area is fine, and so are the lines. The pedal is perfectly normal so I don't think there's a leak in the lines. I just watched a yt video and after reading your comment I think the leak must be the rear brake cylinder.

If the rear cylinder is leaking then how much will a replacement cylinder cost?

Since you are very well informed I would like to ask another question.

The power steering fluid also decreases very frequently. I park my car consistently in a single spot and I see oil stains on the ground under the gear box area. Any idea what could it be?

I was checking for leaks under the car yesterday and saw that one of the steering boots is also ripped in half. Is it something that needs to be repaired asap and if so how much should it cost? I don't want to be ripped off by the local mechanics.

rubber links top front calipers need to be replaced at the designated service time irrespective to leakage...i still remember the day almost 8-9 years back when front link brust open while racing with prius at around 135km/h going under underpass on lahore canal road and brake pedal went all the way down...thankfully nothing bad happened except me returning home at 10 km hour speed and left sore hand..

u should get the complete rebuilt kit for rear cylinders and replace, dont know abt cost..

steering racks boots are there to prevent dirt and moisture from entering rack and ensuring long life of seals...replace immediately with original part...dont go for cheap local part...dont forget to purge air from boot else it with swell and deform with usage...

check PS reservoir for leakge...check the man big pipe going to wards rack for leakage...as the boot is torn i suspect rack seals for leakage..

for gear box check gear level seals and drain nut for leakage also check axle seals

Battery is new and the starter works fine. I wonder is something wrong with the internals? Or can it be any sensor expert opinion please.
