I observed from reading different g13bb and g16b FSM that spark plug gap is 0.7 mm-0.8 mm for distributor type ignition system.
i have different observation, 0.8 gaps makes car loose power, 1.1 gaps makes car smoother n provides power surge...
1.1 gap provides stronger n longer spark, makes strong ignition, i only use petrol as fuel...

Recommended 10w40 in manual. In old engines use 20w50 only. 10w30 is too thin for baleno, a friend used it and the oil pressure light staryed blinking. He immediately replaced oil and problem solved.
baleno in family is being used on 10w30 from day one its and has done 263k on the original engine never opened for any sort of work change interval is 5000km
5W-30 if overhaul was done by a sane person.
The recommended oil as per the manual is also 10w-30. I don't know how Desi mechanics got the psychic powers of knowing that the car needs 10w-40 the moment it touches 100k.
People who stick to the manuals usually done have any problems for many 100k kms.
There is a huge diference between 0,8 and 1.1 gap of plug. If your gap is more then you need good high current to produce electricity. This will be great burden on electric wiring. If company suggest 0.8 gap for petrol car, then we should no go beyond this limit.
for g16b, it sure is 1,1 mm
Manual recommended is not 10w30, its 10w40. I myself using 10w30 engine clocked 265k KMs. But no problem in this oil Alhamdulillah. But will follow manual from next oil change will swotch to 10w40.
in islamabad you wint find good baleno below 6.5 as u described all geniune and in excellent condition these good conditions cars wont cost you any lesser ther 6.5 in islamabad.
I didn't actually say total genuine i said not genuine which means almost repainted but neat and otherwise OK with good engine, suspension and tyres etc now what u think?
