i once came to know that plug wires of efi cultus at dealership cost 10k back in 2016. i highly doubt if these dealerships still have even a screw available of old models like Baleno

What kind of problem do you face in the car? and how you are so sure that its the problem of Plug wiring

This is also based on previously faced problem where my car was not smooth in acceleration and faced missing issues but cable change worked. Throughout changing one or all cables helped in such issues.

This time I had changed engine rings and engine is like fresh, only driven like 600 km since then. I can smell unburnt fuel. Existing wires are not branded rather they were locally made in shoba Peshawar. Now that engine engine is like fresh I should be getting good acceleration even with AC on. Plus it is hard for me to push car beyond 80 kph. Air filter is changed. Fuel filter was changed last year as well as their body cleaned. Car performance is specially poor with AC on.

Are there any other sensor cleaning required as well?? I may consider changing plugs as well but they were not bad as per mechanic.

First of all brother don't go for any expensive repairing suggested by mechanics.... Mechanics are always giving FATWA without knowing any root cause.

• Your problem is sounds like your car has electrical issue not mechanical. (Your car is not receiving proper voltage thats why you face less power)
• I was facing same issue in my baleno 2001 (fully petrol).
• First check your car for any mechanic that the ground wire is proper.. and get it cleaned because there is carbon where this ground wire is connected with car body and engine... also remove all carbon from battery terminals. (this all can be done by your self at home)

Problem I Face

• I have Baleno 2001 running on petrol.
• It works prefectly fine but some time the RPM suddenly dropped and car start vibrating alot on pressing break or taking u turn and then on pickup the car was not performing well even full throttle is pressed.
• After turning on the AC.. Pick of the car was very sluggish (even for single person in the car)

Things I have tried to resolve the issue but no success

• Throttle body service
• air filter change
• Fuel filter change
• Use high octane (so injectors will be cleaned)
• Computerized checkup
• TP sensor calibration
• Idle control sensor calibration

ACTUAL SOLUTION

Rpm fluctuation when you press brake or turns your car occurs when your battery ground wire is not correctly (connected/carbon in connection) with car body and car engine correctly.
My car positive battery terminal also damaged and full of carbon which was causing the issue.

After doing this cleaning of ground wiring by my self the car is now perfect.... no need to change the FUEL PUMP which is suggested by mechanics. Another mechanics suggest me to change the Valve seals(FATWA).

Steps to clean ground wire

• disconnect the battery wires
• disconnect the negative wire from battery as well as disconnect it from body and engine as well.
• clean all the terminals with (regmal) Sandpaper.
• connect all terminals again and Enjoy Baleno drive.

Thanks for the details. I will check these too and clean. I haven't seen connection points of ground wires.

I have 2005 model Baleno, from last two days after starting and running some time it stopped and refused to start again.

i noticed that both time it stopped when car hit a bump.

I have checked that current is not passing from plug wires, now out of curiosity i decided to check that if it is giving any error code with the help of connecting wire in the two points in Fuse box. No code was displaying. I just tried to start it when the wire connected in diagnostic port in fuse box and car started.

2nd time i applied same method and car started.

I visited a electrician but he is saying that he is unable to identify the issue in this running state of car.

Any suggestion from respected members.

Yes the issue is mostly resolved but there are two main reason for this.

One there should be a seal gasket between the throttle body, and 2nd the air intake box, in which air inflow should be minimized while driving on CNG.

Aoa I am facing fuel gauge issue
yesterday electrician have serviced fuel tank level and changed fuel needle. the problem is when car is on steep road fuel gauge is dropped to E but when its on level ground it shows actual reading is it normal or there is some issue.
Second issue is my car is slipping on turns is it due to suspension ( i have changed rear shocks and springs NEW and front shocks are repaired) or it is due to tyres

Dear PWers.. any recommendation for tappet adjustment. After changing piston rings now my car needs tappet adjustment. I have been told that this job is done when engine is cold. Any suggestion on for how long the car engine should be rested to cool down for this job. Are couple of hours rest at workshop good enough or should I ask the mechanic to come to my home early morning to do it for better adjustment. Also should I dig out exact clearance from manual or is it known clearance.
It is baleno 2000 1.3.

For last few days I have been noticing that whenever breaks are applied on high speed RPM drops a bit lower than 900RPMs although the car doesn't shut off. However, on idling the RPMs are ok and even on AC they are ok too. On idling pressing the brake does reduce RPM but that is hardly noticeable. Cars tuning has been done 2 weeks ago and plugs have also been changed. Anyone who can plz throw some light. Thanks.

the brake is connected to engine and need some vacuum from engine, so it does effect engine rpm when applied harder...

this is new phenomena which you are experiencing?

No i understand that RPMs do fluctuate but recently RPMs are going down a bit more than usual, that's why I felt a difference.

means engine is struggling to maintain RPM under load, normally IACV is responsible to maintain RPM, try to clean it and check if u feel any improvement.
