Tips for Baleno

when we say that steering "kanghi" is leak, is that mean some visible leak ? steering oil coming out ?

I am stuck with heavy steering issue and mechnics are referring kay kanghi khulwani paray gi .... I am still not convinced.

Did someone experience that with Baleno ??

the color of the smoke is white.. and also some water drops are coming from the silencer.

Thats it,the problem if the worst,would be the valve seals.But before going such deep diagnoses i advise you to observe keenly to the comlete exhaust sytem starting from engine's head to the tail,is there any leakage of the oil near exhaust system?

Yes if the kangi is leaked some where you shuold have noticed it apparently.There are oil seals at the kangi(steering arm set) which might be leaking and causing the low power steering fluid pressure.
Or mostly its a power steering pump which is the cause of heaviness.

yes its a visible leak..if the kanghi is much torn out than the oil will drip in drops...

My baleno starts to shake a little when i go above 130 KMPH on motorway. Is it the usual case with your rides as well? If not, what do you think might be the reason? My guess is the front suspension. But if any one knows some better possible reason, would appreciate

Well so far I got Oil / pump (new) changed, got the bottle (containing filter) washed but issue still remain there. I feel extra continuous load as well while driving with hard steering.

Now mechs are telling to experiment with kanghi, it has no visible leak or any noise. good returnability is there as well.

This is turning into big problem

yes its a visible leak..if the kanghi is much torn out than the oil will drip in drops...

and yes, BTW, i have a 2005 baleno, with almost brand new tyres, so the shaking is probably not because of the tires and rims :).

The shaking thing is mostly due to wheels and tyers, mine was doing this on bit slow speed, i inspected the tyres and found front left uneven. changed and found ok. However, never tried on 130-140kph. i will n then tell u.

Baleno is a great car altogether. Spares are abundantly available for Baleno, in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi. Im not sure about Peshawar.

I just upgraded my 1999 Baleno with power windows, retractable power mirrors, power locks, rpm meter, fog lights, bumpers (All original Baleno).

So go ahead and buy a Baleno and enjoy the ride. Do visit these forums for lots of tweaks and info which is useful.

yup i observe, there is no leakage of oil in the whole exhaust system.

About the retractable power mirrors, they fit some motor inside existing mirrors ? or whole part is changed ?

look yaar...Kanghi ka problem k liay zaroori nhn k oil leakage bhi start ho jae...the Teeth of kanghi can be worn out while seals are ok...so if seals are ok then no oil leakage would be found...unfortunately you have to change the kanghi...:(...big kharcha...

hello there...1.6 gti all the way...there are many witnesses over PW that 1.6 gti have beaten corrolas and hondas marginally...probably reason being more aero dynamic shape and less weight...and the spark system of gti

150 km plus...on CNG...and a happy user...no shaking no bubbling no vibration...but yes its dangerous to push baleno to that limit...probably being the reason that my car's tires life is finished and breaks are so much inefficient...

For worn out teeth, shouldn't it some kind of noise etc ? cuz one of the mechanic did give a verdict kay kharab kanghi aawaz deti hai.

I need to be sure before going for 4-5K for new kanghi, unfortunately every mechnaic have a new story

i want to clean the petrol tank of my car from mechanic! is it a normal or complicated work!
so how much time it takes and whats the kharcha normally!
