u r right yaar...i have read some where that irradium plugs are specially for waste spark system as the waste spark systems are capable of producing high voltage (almost double than the distributor system) so high quality plugs should also be installed for such a high voltage handling (about 35000-40000 volts)...BUT
have you used them???ever tried???its a quite big investment...what is the current price

havent used them, as my father didnt wanted to, but they are worth it as they last a 100,000kms, 1 set costs around Rs.4500

Be aware of heating issue with these plugs aswell.

its very common - they cut the positive common wire to the injectors disabling them.. the only benefit of an emulator is that your original wiring does not get cut up

I wanted to share some thing,

My Balenos Coils died, had to replace them, i was considering buying the kabuli/(scrap market ones) i called the guy they wernt avalible contacted some dealer ships and other spare part shops the coils costed 8,000 each and 2200 for the wires making it 18,200 for genuine ones.

My father went to plaza market so they might a little less costly, there he found out 3 types were avalible

Genuine set 18,200
Malaysian set 7,000
Pakistani set 5,000

Scrap market set (used Genuine) 7500-8000

My dad thout lets give the Pakistani set a try, so he got them the car got back to normal more then 3 months the car was fine,

even serviced it ones, (altho covered the coils with a shoping bag, and dried them completly before starting her again.

Sold the car last week. Lets see how long the Pakistani set lasts with the new owner.

the trick to ensuring good life out of waste spark systems is to use plain copper single electrode spark plugs with proper resistance suggested by the engine manufacturer.

Because waste spark systems fire opposite polarity on the exhaust stroke you need to be sure that you have ONE electrode per plug - because if your dead cylinder fired too early because of the 45 tip waala spark plug - your ignition cylinder would fire too - causing a backfireball into the inlet

I just went through the Baleno user manual, it says Iridium plugs replacement for 30,000 Kms under our driving conditions. as comparison to what we change normal plugs at 10,000Kms.

So be aware of this before investing .....

sold it for 510, no didnt give it to a invester, got many offers of 480, 490, 500.

One guy from islamabad was after it too. But the deal got finalizesd :), 30-40k worth denting painting was required, some touch ups on the right side, but a complete job on the left side,

Mechanicaly it was in fit condition,

i have a lot of experience of using and maintaining baleno all types of balenos.its really a marvelous car of suzuki.but little diffferent to maintain from other cars.if u have some problems discuss with me on this forum.B-)

i hav got the gear repaired from multan caz 2nd gear used to slip out, now i hav a problem that whenever car is cold its fine but lets say after an hour drive when i reduce the gear 4m 3rd or 4th a very shrill sound comes which iz quite similar to if u dnt depress full clutch aur gear laga dain.
nd 2nd problem is regarding missing i think, whenever car is cold vid fix accelerator car displays some missing symtoms
my friend has advised me to discuss it vid you

I fear you might have to re-claim the gear work done by the mechanic. The gears sound was smooth when you got it repaired?
The missing problem is with the cng or patrol?

No there iz no chk ingine light... even i have checked the light by disconnecting air sensor .. ven i disconnect it chk engine light lits up... i guess that means all wiring is ok.

Yaar there may be some reasons behind your gear box problem which can to be found step by step.

How is your gear oil condition and quantity?

Less gear oil means obvious grinding sound even in idling.

There are gear forks under the gear lever by which gear lever engage and disengage differnt gears.If gear lever or gear forks are having blunt edges there might be problem in shifting and missing gears resulting in sound.

Your pressure plate might have loosen the tension of its fingers which is not making your gear assembly idle when you press the clutch for shifting gears.

There might be some shaft ellignment troubble due to some bearings when your mechanic refitted the gear.

Regarding missing,if your car do missing on petrole only then might be fuel filter,fuel lines,fuel pump,nasty injectors,dirty fuel tank and most commen dirty fuel.

If your car do missing on cng aswell,there might be problem with your ignition system including plugs and wires.

Also get your car checked with obdII computer if there is some problem in air/fuel ratio or any sensor relating to this ratio is getting bad.

I did'nt mean you gave your car to an investor in terms of sale and purchase but i was thinking about the 'harcha' it needed badly on outlook.

I 100% agree with you on 4,5 tips plugs do backfire more often than stock.
