Yaar there may be some reasons behind your gear box problem which can to be found step by step.

How is your gear oil condition and quantity?

Less gear oil means obvious grinding sound even in idling.

There are gear forks under the gear lever by which gear lever engage and disengage differnt gears.If gear lever or gear forks are having blunt edges there might be problem in shifting and missing gears resulting in sound.

Your pressure plate might have loosen the tension of its fingers which is not making your gear assembly idle when you press the clutch for shifting gears.
And gear forks are some thing like this.
There might be some shaft ellignment troubble due to some bearings when your mechanic refitted the gear.

Regarding missing,if your car do missing on petrole only then might be fuel filter,fuel lines,fuel pump,nasty injectors,dirty fuel tank and most commen dirty fuel.

If your car do missing on cng aswell,there might be problem with your ignition system including plugs and wires.

Also get your car checked with obdII computer if there is some problem in air/fuel ratio or any sensor relating to this ratio is getting bad.

Hi experts,
My baleno doesnt have the Auto valve (i dont k now its real name, the one which traps water inside engine area to regulate the temperature). my car, during thsi winter season doesnt acquire the temp which is an optimum temp for engine. i know this is bad... mind u im in khi (very less winter).
What are the recommendations.

• shud i get one installed.
• its a serious thing if works bad, then hi engine temp may occur. so which one shud i get. originally from suzuki, other than suzuki but jenuine, kabli or some other. Pls advise me.
• or just keep going without it.
• anybody has the idea of the prices for all i have mentioned.

whats the difference in the baleno models till 2002 (old lights) shape and 2002 (new lights). i know the lights difference, any diff in engine technology or any other thing

my baleno has front seat railings defective. The seats do move fwd n back but they have a lot of play with the railing. i think the railing needs replacement. where can i get these railing. are the new local railings available, kabli or some other. what shud be the price of theses railings.

Even in low gears,your car doesnot warm up?

In winter car takes a little more time in warming up as idle but in low gear slow driving it should get the optimum level of heat.

To check the thrmostat valve,start your car in morning and hold the radiator hose pipe,if the pipe starts getting warm before the needle touches the mid mark it means you dont have the thrmostat valve.

Cost you about 300 rs if you buy a new one.

To avoide engine wear you must have the valve installed,will benefit you in long run.

You know every metal particle have the tendency to expand upon heating so are the piston made of silver expands and seals tight to the walls of cylender liners because of which unburnt fuel substances cant seep into your engine liners and resultantly your rings are themselves safe beside making liner damage aswell and over more no extra loss of fuel giving you good everage.The seepage of fuel through liners also affect the engine oil in the sump.

Have you opened the seats to check the railings.

I dont think so that your railing is defective rather baleno's front seats bolts are prone to get loose,just tight them and about sliders jam complaint,once open the seats and lubricate the sliders which are made of bony material, have caught dirt causing them to be jammed.

I did'nt mean you gave your car to an investor in terms of sale and purchase but i was thinking about the 'harcha' it needed badly on outlook.

was a gud deal for sum one who invest, remake, and sell at a profit.

Or some one who was looking for a cheap/economical solution with a sedan and would keep getting the work done on weekly or monthly basis.

an invester (broker/dealer) offered me 450. He had in mind denting painting investing money for some time and then selling a repainted car.

What should be the appropriate time for tappet adjustment for a carefully driven Baleno in city on CNG ?

10000km is fairly enough to take your car to garrage,change plugs,tune it with tappet settings aswell and with cng kit if serviceable.

i guess u r rite bro... its da ff fault of baleno.... my car was smooth as hell ven i had purchased it but wid the passage of time n specially after i drove it into abt 2 foot water it becomes bumpy....
i changed plugs, tested cables on another baleno, changed bearings, throttle body repaired, adjust accelerator cable countless times, try to set throttle through that screw on tb... but all invain...
i shouldnt infact no one should compare baleno to corolla or city... those are much better cars...even in pick (no matter how much load u put on it) corolla has no comparison to baleno ... huge price difference says it all...

I ve 99 baleno 1300 cc.
sorrry for my ignorance but!
I dont know whether front and back wheels ve brake pads or leather.
i ve changed brake pads on front wheels abt 2 months ago but they are of low quality

1. which brand's brake pads/leather are the best for this car? I want to change both?
2 approx price of these?
3. where to get them in Rawalpindi?

Here is some info for you aout Baleno's brake pads and routers.

If even after changing your brake pads,your brakes are not upto the mark,get your brake router checked,some times they get their surface down to optimum size causing calapers having pads not to grip the routers tightly in their jaws.

Uneven ness of the tyres and having habbit of neglecting air pressure in tyres leads to bumpy ride over the time.

its been a long time since i got checked my tires but i regularly check air pressure once in 10-15 days.... front and rear tyres = 30 psi
i guess my throttle body is the culprit its leaking somewhere ... cuz it cant maintain rpm at 900 or 800 etc.... after 3 or 4 minutes rpm comes to 500 ...

I see,

check the over flow pipe of your throttle body if some air is emerging from it then block it,you are done as you said your tb is leaking somewhere.
you can view two of the pipes attached with tb big one goes to tappet cover the other one is vacant and hanging,block this one with some screw or any other thing.

i have already covered that pipe with hard tape but i didnt feel any air coming out of it.... now according to my knowledge either tb is leaking or it is emulator.... either absence of emulator or leaking of throttle body is the culprit...
