This may seem odd to most but,if you really have some spec in your pocket try using General tyres with least amount of rolling resistance to run around the city and when you want to go out at night get your special tyres on.
Consider it a pit stop for your car and once you have that in mind you'd love the fiddling, and you'd have the economy as well.
