Tire Burst

i like to share with you all a tire burst mishap.

anyone would like to guess what could have gone wrong? the tire is only used for approx two months and is one of the high speed rated tire in its class.

In other words any normal profile street use tire burst of this extent will not let you control the car and car will flip over.

looks like dunlop maxx

this was a common site at saudi on deserted highways, tyres due to over heating, would lose the complete thread.
can be caused by low pressure, or constant high speed cornering, both taxing the sidewall edges alot.

shouldnt happen at normal daily drive.

redbull: good points,, low tire pressure could be a cause.
cornering and high speed is not a problem for this tire if tire pressure is normal.

this happened on motorway, going straight, so again cornering at high speed is eliminated.

Tornado Alpha is brand name and tire manufacture year was 2002 and it cost Rs7000/- a piece.

Outside weather temperature was cool at the time.

Next time try to buy a tyre which is within 3 year bracket from manufacturing date. tyre rubber texture must have gotten stiff on shelf in 5 years. same size tyre in other reknowned brands should cost 10k per piece

its common site to find such tires on highways here (not exactly on highways.)

its strange that it had only 2 months life. i had good year tires which hardly last for 6 months. wonder why they named it "good year".

its natural phenoma, when things generally ignored go wrong.

the tire set did some offroad last week and tire pressure was chked 35psi on digital unit.
then i had go take car on crappy roads i changed the tire set for 5 days.( use general tire 175/70/14) for bumpy roads..

4 days back i had these tires put on as i planned a trip to Islamabad and car was left at roadside while i was busy with other things.,, at night i fill up pet

early morning around 5am i start my journey before sunrise

i was at suhkaki and had to buy a junk spare for Rs1700/-,,

my spare tire was flat so i needed another 1..

motorway tireshop should keep better tires if they want to charge a lot.

anyway i reached Islo. spectra, ghuncha took over the car to get tire issue chked and all and i was happy to take passenger seat..

china copy rims can break,,

buying better rims pays off,, there was no damge to rim.. all current tires have 05 date of maunfacture so they should be ok.. somebody reduced tire pressure during 1 weeks time or maybe a nail was stuck in tire,, just before burst started ,,,car went over a minor bump on motorway,, these bumps are maybe water exist tunnel constructed under road

got new tire ,, this is the rim.. i didnt do any paint touch up or anything,, its as is
i paint black sticker balance weights and they dont come off either.
