If u give ur 4 speed and replace it with a 5 speed u might have to pay 15 grand, thats what i paid 1 year ago.
With a b2 4 speed works but 13bt u will need a 5 speed tranny.

Getting the original dash up and running is no piece of cake and not that cheap either. Let Issidique tell us how much it costed him for his dash.

@AkifJanjua: Many congrats on an excellent acquisition!

I think the cost of the dash(ing) could possibly be significantly higher as Toyota parts prices are setting new records with the borders apparently closed. I would rather opt for the original dash with the original 40 series AC fittings, but its all a matter of personal choice.

On the engine, I believe this BJ40 is a rare beast as it has a 2B engine which was turboed by somebody in Dubai. It would be nice to check the turbo pressure on there and playing with the settings and maybe add an intercooler....a rare 2B-T I believe.

And if you need any tips on how not to do a 40 series build-up you know who to ask

Salman bro my first priority would be keeping its stock looks.. Only better seats..

if the 5 spd trade takes 15-20k i might swap.. But 4 spd will work too for me..

Bro to install the prado dash the original metal dash plate will be cut and the doors will be modified a bit. Doors modification can only be done on the doors having quarter glass.

if u want a expedition vehicle u should go for a 5 forward gear box less noise more economy.

And just go to citi saddar road u will find most of the stuffu need. Kitney mei yea alag story hai ...lolz

And how will it look like on the stock rim of the Fauji FJ-40 I got.
I am very low on budget now.Looking for tyres & unable to change stock rims due to shortage of $'s

fahd bhai.. The ones on ur ex willys are not available anymore... The newer super all grip are radials and much better on road.. Army is getting these on their defenders.. Checked the price.. 9k per tyre

Bump. Reviving the old topic with the hopes of waking up people involved with conversations above and getting some answers. What happened to the BJ40 extension and restoration? Anybody? @akifjanjua. Personally I am also in the middle of a restoration project, going STOCK and OEM wherever possible.
