Toggle switch for Mehran radiator fan (direct/automatic)

I have installed a toggle switch for Mehran radiator fan, to toggle between direct fan and automatic fan.

I have followed this picture

I have not yet added the diode and fuse as mentioned in above pic :S(Should i or should i not , expert opinion ???)

Here are pictures of what i have done with my car


Have covered the bulb a little , as it was too bright, will replace it with some thing less brighter.

Will cover the relay as well to save from water.

Fuse and diode are both a must.
Fuse will protect the battery from shorting out which can really mess things up.

The diode is installed to provide a path for current to flow after you have turned the switch off as there is a high induced voltage at the coil (inside the relay) due to change in magnetic field. To prevent any damage diode is installed.

Local electricians will not understand this
