Token Tax for City

Asalam-o-Alaikum Fellows,

Has anyone submitted Token Tax for 1.3 City Punjab Registered? If yes, can you please tell what are the charges for Filer and Non-Filers.

It is Rs. 8100/= per year. They also issue a sticker. The token tax was deposited two days ago at excise and taxation office, Faisal town, Lahore. Car was also registered in Lahore. I am a filer and don't have info about non-filers. I guess the token tax is the same for both. No?

i submitted today. . .i am filer so its 4320 only in july as 10% rebate. . .furthermore i am pak atomic energy comission officer so Rs 2500 as income tax will be refunded from accounts. . .so it will cost me only Rs. 1820!

its 13700/-. . .as income tax for filer reduces in this budget for 1800cc from 6000 to 4500. . .as ur model is more than 5 years old it is treated as local vehicle tax rate like honda civic 1.8L. . .if u pay in july month u will get extra 10% rebtate !

It was already 4500. It was 6000 i guess during the 2015-16 fiscal year

I submitted my token tax for Swift Dlx 2011 .. it costed me 8100 ..in the same office in faisal town .. i am a filler .. However i was of the impression that a car more than 5 yrs old had reduced tax token .. however the person at the counter told me that the rule had just changed and its now applied for 10 yrs old cars

Why diff between @qwertz and @kamyykk, 8100 and 4320 despite both being filers? Swift Dlx of @adil_durrani is also 1.3 I guess and he says 8100 as well?

For Islamabad I can tell that the toll is only arnd 400 (w/o 10% rebate) plus 2500 and 7500 advance tax for filers and non-filers respectively (which are same thru out Pak I think).

Also can anyone kindly inform esp @kamyykk that if the city is of 2007 model then the 10 year old adv tax exemption will apply from this year? Or it depends on exact manufacturing or registration month? (That it's before July or after).

Beats me Shahbaz. I am in the same department and a senior officer. The ETO confirmed that its the filer's tax i.e. Rs. 8100/= May be some people get lucky and deposit half the amount who knows.

Before April 2017 Honda City models were 1300cc on papers after April 2017 facelift that changed to 1339cc which changed the tax bracket of the car. Now 1.3L city (actually 1339cc) is in the same category as that of 1.5L city (1497cc). So the tax is higher for post facelift City. Swift is also 1328cc so it is in the same 1.5L category.

Tax for pre facelift 1.3L city is around Rs 4500 and for post facelift it is Rs8700 for filers in Punjab (ignoring 10% rebate)

Bcs my city is 1300cc and swift is 1328cc so its in class 1500cc token !

1300cc not 1297cc as 1001-1299cc have different lower token than 1300cc and 1301-1500cc !

New City 1.3L is not 1300 cc. It has been declared as having 1339 cc by Honda Atlas hence the increase in tax slab. It is now taxed in the range of vehicles from 1301 to 1500 cc.
