Top speed of 2.0D saloon?

its not the matter of reaching the top speed
top speed means the speed on which the engine can maintain its pull and every thing

TOp speed is something that if ur doing 180 then it should be doing 180 all 400 miles with full performance and full AC
Toyota COrolla 2.0D can do 180 for sure but thats for like 20 seconds
or max 5 minutes after that automatically torgue will break off cause engine is weak and sluggish

altis can touch 220 km/h and 2.0d saloon and can touch 170 km/h...

altis cannot cross 180 it has fuel cut off at 180km/h.

and 2.0d surely does 160, dont know the top.

here we r not talking abt its engine quality , we r talking abt top speed !! is tht ok sir ???? those who r comparing it wid AUDI r mental i guess b/c yaar y r u comparing a PAK assembled car wid an imported GERMAN car .....lolx..! and those who r still saying tht 2.OD 160 170 say ooper nahi jaati , bhai aap log ka koi ilaaj nahi hai !!! see page no 1 , i have displayed one pic there in wch speedometer is showing tht it was going on 180 and RPM needle was not at red line ,it is in b/w 5 and 6 , it means it can easily go upto 200 and i believe th8 even 220 !!!

For me my civic and 2.OD r more than enough and both of thsese can do 180 easily without giving ne trouble and for more than 5 mins sir !!! i still remember ven me and my dad went 2 HYDERABAD ..on highway my father did 150 on margalla and maintained tht speed for more than 10 mins so ofcourse 2.OD can maintain 180 for more than 20 mins easily !!!

anyways i will also not watse my time on a mechanic , who has just learned how to give lectures and explain things abt DIESEL ENGINES ...lol

i guess in UK u will find many good training centres (schools for special children) for ur treatment and training !!!

you are comparing two wrong things, compare ur td watever with the d4d commonrail that comes with a low pressure turbo and is highly fuel efficient plus has got all the power to eat any other diesel vehicle in no time. Audi are a totally No No here bcoz the toyota reliability is unmatchable. The cetane level in Pakistani diesel will consume your engine in less than one month. but toyotas keeps on goin.
i agree that the 2C is an old technology but its relaibility is unmatchable. 70% of pakis are illeterate and usually own 0D,z . they cant drive an audi here with the most drastic conditions. The audi wud probaly heat up in a 50 Degree Cent atmopsphere which is very common in pakistan or melt down

well 2C is a very old technology and it WAS reliable and its uses an Old tech which wastes more diesel than it burns
Reliablity of an Audis Diesel engine and BMWs engine is unmatchable
Toyotas Diesel engines dont last long i have seen no Toyota engine without a starting problem
1 They are extremely Sluggish
2 They DOnt pull well for long
2 When at high speeds U lose economy

Where as New diesel engines such as that of Audi
1 They are never sluggish
2 They pull more than perfect even on up hill motorways high speeds such as 200Kmph and 220Kmph are just a joke for such engines with above 320 Nm torgues

3 They start trouble less even after doing 300 000 mileswhich is something that toyotas engine In 2.0 D or even a Prado cant even think about

4 Audis engine already work under a very high heat and u can see the proof of that in Dubai and Saudi arabia you see more A6 and A8 Turbo diesels in Saudi arabia than anywhere else

So i think Toyotas Diesel engines dont stand anywhere
Toyotas engines are made for cheap cars like corolla which can give economy underlow speeds and a Little bit of performance till 100 Kmph

Its not that i am against 2.0D corolla i am against the technology that you get for money which was my argument at the first place
I my self love diesel cars and have been using different brands and have been using them for last 10 years which include A4 . C220 Turbo diesel . 320D , Astra Diesel Vectra diesel , even a Corolla 2.0D which was the worst mistake of my life and i think when u have kept so many brands and have driven so many cars then definately you do have an opinion which is Not biased

but Oh well here its a different case most i see are too much in love with 2.0D and funniest thing is that old engine is comoared to Vtech engines of civic thats ridiculous
