Well its operated by Total and I don't think they will take such risk. Fake oil is usually packed in small bottles and mostly ZIC and shell. Also its cheaper than bottle because you are not paying for bottle and some taxes so around 400Rs to 500Rs cheaper price.

even then people here saying there is no difference between total and toyota motor oil.

If one in fully synthetic and the other one is not or partially synthetic then there should be huge difference in their performance?? why are you guyz saying ... koi farq naheen hai?

LoL there is a difference toyota is synthetic technology and total is fully synthetic. I didn't find fully synthetic written on toyota 5w30 box yes, there is a huge difference between both.

Kilometers depends upon oil as well as your engine sump oil capacity. Bigger engine can cover more kilometers due to bigger sump. Smaller engine have less sump oil.

The best I have used till now is Mobil 1. I was following 10k drain intervals without any issues. I switched to Total 5w30 coz Mobil prices are roof high now. Believe i'm not facing issue with it at all. Keep on using it. Just make sure that the oil you're getting is authentic. Nopes it's not better, toyota 5w30 is synthetic and it's not a fullysynthetic.

What's your drain interval with Total ?

Well there is a big difference between fully synthetic and 100% synthetic. Fully synthetic is a term used all over world now we dun know how much synthetic addictives package we got. But 100% synthetic such as amsoil or totachi claim they have 100% synthetic are better than the rest.

5k. I did stretch it once to 7200kms and believe me the oil didnt come out very bad. Color. Smell and consistency was still there. However its always Better to go with manufacturers recommended intervals

I was thinking of stretching that to 7k or at least 6k kms with this oil. What would you suggest ? Before i always changed at 5k kms.

Can be done easily if you're using original oil filter.
I'm also gonna stretch it upto 7k after next oil change.
