Yesterday i checked the odo meter of my corolla and i have driven my car 1400km on this oil. One thing which is quite noticeable is that its idling is improved alot. Previously it used to vibrate a bit while on idle but now it is smooth.
My younger brother who often drives her also noticed the same improvement.
Considering the cost of oil change, drain interval should be 8k minimum as LM, Valvoline cost almost the same but the drain interval are minimum 10k km.

As for Total Quartz 9000, I usually use it for 6000km... I know people who are using it for 8000km plus and according to them the engines are fine with that interval. But I still want to play safe, so 6000km is my redline

Keeping in view the Blasphemous stance by France Government and President, I request you all to please Boycott "Total Parco" because its one of the biggest French company operating in Pakistan. Don't buy petrol or engine oil from this company any more. I am going to boycot total oil now onwards and will request the same to all. I was using total 5w30 and thankfully that is now available in havoline as well.. Please also boycot fueling from total pumps Boycott :flag_fr:

Please do not fall pray to 10~15,000 Kms drain interval gimmickry.

Irrespective of the engine oil brand you choose and use, just always follow the drain interval as mentioned in the owners / users manual.

If in the manual, it has been written to change engine oil after every 5,000 Kms (or 06 months, whichever comes 1st), then in the best interest of your car's engine health, just change it after 5,000 Kms, irrespective the oil recommends to change after 10~15,000 Kms, i.e. long drain intervals.

2ndly, on such oils too, if one looks at the back of their packagings, or go through their PDS (Product Data Sheets), they clearly mention to follow the drain intervals as per OEM guidelines, i.e.:

"Ja'agda'ay Raina... Saaday tey Na Raina...!"

As they'll not take any responsibility if something goes wrong, and definitely, many things can go wrong, if you use such oils for 10~15,000 Kms, whereas in the manual, OEM recommends to change it after every 5,000 Kms.

I think, I should stop now. Have discussed this issue multiple times, in many different threads. I hope, you have got my point.

If you change oil after 5000kms/6 months better use semi synthetic or mineral oils instead of wasting money on fully synthetic oils.

Total 9000 can easily run for 8000kms or 1 year.

No It can't. Beg to differ. This drain interval of more than 6 months is a myth.

I know the results of oil analysis report of Total 9000 after it ran 12000kms in Pakistan.

It isnt a myth anymore.
Fully synthetic oils have evolved alot over the years.
