Hello all,
Just sharing an info here. Knowing the likelihood of pakwheler for total oil, total is selling off it's oil at discounted prices of 3050, while retail is 4085. Might come in handy for those going for an oil change. It is old packaging, seems like they are clearing old packing stocks. Anyways here is the link

I was in same position yesterday, thought about ordering it but then bought it from total company operated pump for Rs 4024. Daraz is Probably disposing off old packing as u said. Em attaching pictures of new packing which I bought yesterday. Is this packing locally done ? The owner of the workshop where I change oil was telling me this is being packed locally(new one), he was saying he has that old stock which was packed from abroad

Well, when you go to Total website it redirects you to their daraz Seller so I think it is authentic.

It is 100 percent original and it is total's own official store, I've confirmed it. I ordered 10W40 from them, manufacturing date was 2019. They are just getting rid of old shape bottles, so yes take advantage and order.

Salam Guys, Hope you are doing good. Just sharing my experience of using Total Quartz 9000 5W30 the same golden packing.
Before that i was using Valvoline 10W30 and after reading numerous positive reviews i changed it to Total Quartz 9000 5W30. I didnot noticed much of a change in my car however i have felt that the engine noise is increased a bit. It might be my wahm too but it is my observation. Car is Toyota Corolla 2008 with 110k mileage on the odo.
Secondly what should be the drain interval of Total Quartz 9000.
Does anyone else felt increase in Engine noise.

Yes. I too felt an increase in engine sound since I moved down to 5w-30, but it could be my wahm too. Mine is 2012 altis 98,000 km on odometer.
Drain time is 6 months max. Not sure about mileage though.

Ok. What i think is that Valvoline/Liqui Moli can perform better as compared to Total Quartz 9000 5W30. What your take on it.

Experts please guide.

In my limited personal experience I have found Mobil1 fully synthetic to be the best of the lot, undisputed king. Haven't tried LM or Valvoline.

By looking at the back side of the bottle, to me, it seems as if this oil has been manufactured (and also packed) in Singapore. So, it can be considered as fully imported oil.

i have felt that the engine noise is increased a bit.

I also switched from 10w-40 to 5w-30 Total in my current ride, and engine noise increased. But IMO, nothing to worry, as a silent / sunn engine is not a sign of healthy engine, or, engine is running comfortably.

Its not a weham. Your observation is right.

Secondly what should be the drain interval of Total Quartz 9000.

IMO, 5,000 Kms / 06 months, which ever comes 1st, along with genuine oil filter.

If oil level drops on dipstick, simply top it up, but if you observe blue smoke from the exhaust, then not a good sign regarding engine health.

Thankyou Basit bhai for a detailed reply.
I have driven my car approximately 800km on the recent changed oil and found that the engine is now much smoother. Ill keep on using this oil till 6000km and will change it then. If this oil keeps on performing good, then ill stick to it else ill revert back to LM 5W30 SN.

How is your Accord going on. You are MashAllah a true car lover and doing all the preventive maintenance in a right way as it is supposed to be.

As my car has clocked 112k km on the odo and considering the engine noise, i think ill keep on using 5W30 irrespective of 10W40.

Actually recently, i started comparing my corolla engine noise with honda. I should not be doing this. Honda engines are always silent as compared to noisy corolla engines.

Dear Accord is currently parked in Rawalpindi for almost 2 weeks. I am now in Karachi and busy in different official assignments, so, unable to give time to my main thread in particular, and Pakwheels in general.

If / when I'll have sufficient time, I'll update my main thread. IN SHA ALLAH. Currently, I just randomly check Pakwheels, and reply in the threads where feasible and easy.

IMO, 5,000 Kms change interval would be fine. And if yiu aren't satisfied with Total, then Caltex / Havoline 5w-30 fully synthetic, which has been recently launched locally, is another great, value to money option.

Then Kixx, even PSO Cariant 5w-30 are quite reasonable.

The condition is; engine oil must be 100% authentic!

May be I am racist / biased towards LM, but LM, Amsoil, etc. Would be my last options. And choosing engine oil from "7 Big Oils", like Total, Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP (British Petroleum) Would always be my preference.

Regarding Accord, or any car I own, I try my level best to always have it well maintained in all respects (electrically, mechanically, etc.). But Accord, it seems my 1st true
