Day 08 : 10 Sep 2015 From Bungi to back home via Babusar Pass
Next morning after taking breakfast we left Bunji and reached Babusar Pass at 1: 00, had lot of time so decided to go off the road and attain the max altitude at mountain on right side coming from Chilas. Our Islamabad Jeep Club Members have done it quite few times in group. So I was climbing up the hill at a certain I stopped because my wife was getting scared.
Babusar is at the altitude of 13,691 feet. So I climbed up more 500 feet, It was 14,000+ I checked with Pajero's Altimeter and GPS altimeter. It was very cold and wind was blowing at full Pace. Stayed there for a while then we start again our journey to back home. We reached Naran at 16hrs had cup of coffee at the river side near PTDC Motel. Still we had lot of time so we decided to say Hi to Saif-al-Maluk as well. I reached at lake in 25 mins only from PTDC Motel. People have damaged the beauty of Saif-al-Maluk lake, waste was everywhere, stink all around. I was very much depressed to see the environment there.
May Allah blessed all these places, and may the people should respect the nature and its beauty, keep these beautiful places neat and clean. (ameen) Stayed there for just few mins then left and reached Naran again in 25 mins. Did some shopping there and left Naran for home.
Any question/queries are welcome.
Alhamdoulillah by the blessing of Almight Allah we were able to reach home in 4.5 hrs from Naran.
May Allah always keep those (who are travelling and trekking in those areas) safe and sound and bring them back home safe. Ameen
