From Dir to Thal, it will take 4 to 5 hours depending upon your ride and driving skills.
Yes of course... All the way till Thal is the part of Kumrat Valley. You can analyze the places according to your own sense of tourism and love for nature.
The forest is just in Thal... A road goes towards left from Thal to the forest.

You are making me more and more interested. I am thinking of following plan
Day 1: Pindi to Dir and reach Thal.
Day 2: Hang around for the whole day
Day 3: Back to pindi

Now one last question.
From Thal, do we have to take jeep for visiting jungle, or can be done on car or just by walking? How much time it would take to reach jungle from Thal by jeep?

Please mention your ride and are you planning with family or alone.
If alone than your plan is OK.
If with family, then you have to adjust.

I have Nissan AD with sufficient ground clearance (roughly not less than corolla).
I am planning with family.

I am still confused about location of Thal. As per one map, it is much much beyond Sheringal, and as per other it is at almost same location as Sheringal. please see following maps

Don't get confused brother.
Shringle is Half way to Thal. Just pass through Shriangle... You will reach barikot, kalkot and then Thal. From Thal, left is Forest and right is Lamouti and Jandrai.

We reached Hashmi Museum of Raja Taj Mohammad at about 12:15 noon....

You can see the faces of Ladies in the poster at Katora Lake.... the details of the adventure can be seen on the poster. Hats off to all the ladies who did that adventure against all the odds.
Raja Sb also accompanied that trip... a very rare situation .....
