Ive used one from '97 - '08 and sold it for 250k. 4 speed, RWD. Drove it primarily on cng and Thora bht on petrol. Used it till it literally became a pain to maintain
No idea about cost of modifications though. Someone else may help.

Cost would be round about 5-6 lacs for proper modification of each and everything.
