Toyota 2C Diesel Turbo Install

i see a green tube & a red bottle in setup, would you please explain where it ended the green tube

i mean, am i right to trace it from Tappet cover to air intake ?

It's a DIY oil catch can before the turbo was installed. I had it replaced with a proper Greddy copy OCC when I finally installed all the intake system with the turbo setup.

The dark tube from the tappet cover is the breather, into the can and the green tube into the intake

Testing the boost gauge, didnt go up to 0.5 bar as this was a downhill, not much load to the engine.

dont sweat the comments on boost blowing the engine up, you cannot expect everyone to know how to work on diesels or even how diesels work. - I used to hear that everyday all day long, 6 days a week (If I heard that on sunday then it was smoking desert eagle time)

btw - route the catch can exhaust into the turbo inlet, the PCV system requires suction on one side in order to work.

Great job man. Those 2C engines are rugged workhorses and Turboing them is a mouth watering idea.

Thank you for the kind words, it was a very fulfilling endeavor to successfully DIY a turbo install and putting my education and studies at work.

I had sold that vehicle last December due to a peer pressure as a friend had wanted to buy it.

To date he said that the engine is performing very well and still picks-up speed astonishingly compared to a N/A 2C. He keeps comparing it to a 4d56 non turbo and he always wins in acceleration hahaha.

Sold the van December 2016 and kept in touch with the new owner, he said that it's still doing well and no new issues since he got it from me...

He also mentioned that He faithfully followed my suggestion to do a regular oil change every 5000 kilometers.
