Toyota 2C Engine Oil - Engine Manual Screenshot attached

I want to figure out which Engine Oil is best for Toyota 2C Engine.

The engine manual of 2C Engine recommends following :

My engine has 128,000km on it , At idle it don't give black smoke but on hard acceleration it gives black smoke.

In karachi the average temperature is above between 30-40 degree should i be using 10w50 ? Last time my brother changed Oil and he inserted 10w30 in it.

Which oil will be best according to the engine manual

10W-40 or 15w-40 are suitable oil for toyota 2c just use caltex delo gold on your car and call it a day

if you think your engine eat oil then go for 20W-50. Otherwise 10W-40 is good. Try API SL/CF grade with 20W-50 and API SN/CF with 10W-40. In API SN/CF use good quality base oil. mostely it come with imported Lubricant. in pakistan i come with Atlantic Brand check out on google Atlantic Oil Store

In water use 15/40 and in summer 20/50, you will be happy with your car sound and performance

Next time put some sweaters on your engine so you can use same oil grade in winter.

Sweater should be made of asbestos! we have large climate variation.

But engine inside temperature remains same. Thermostat is there to do that.

Here is the mistake In winter your temperature gauge needle stays at 30 % of the gauge but in summer it goes to 60 to 65% . and during winter rains it will be at 20%. So engine temperature doesn't remain same.

Means your car doesn't got thermostat or fan is direct. Otherwise needle will stay in the middle.

I forgot to mention thermostat is there to measure the temperature and to open close the valve in radiator. It can't control the temperature variations due to climate , it opens valve in radiator when temperature reaches threshold and display the engine temperature on the meter by moving the needle..

Thermostat is the valve.
It starts opening at a certain temperature. If that temperature is 88C.
It means engine temperature will not go down then 88C when engine gets warm one time consider fan is auto. Irrespective of outside temperature, engine temp will stay there.
There's a separate sensor for cluster.

MASHA Allah you are an electrical engineer thermostat is just like thermostat and every where in gyzers, engines even the circuit board it's there to generate some data to control something or display something, in this system when the temperature reaches threshold ( thanks for educating that its 88 C). It opens the valve in radiator for water circulation and closes the valve below 88C. Otherwise engine will not warm up it's controlling the lower limit not the upper limit. Upper limit depends upon the outside air temperature which is cooling the water in the radiator. You just check in winter where is the needle in winter and where in the summer. At the top the author posted the recommended oil depending on outside temperature. So in winter I use 15/40 zic and in summer 20/50 zic.

Sir upper limit is controlled by Fan. It kicks-in right when thermostat is fully opened or about to. Temperature will not rise above after fan kicks-in until something is wrong with the system.
Check needle when in cold state?
Between opening temperature of valve is written on the thermostat.

Thermostat only sends signal at first threshold to open the valve in radiator many people don't know there is a valve in radiator which closes if engine is cold and water don't circulate when engine reaches threshold it opens and Thermostat trigger this event then when engine heats up more than needed it turns the fan on , same as the Thermostat in pc triggers the fan or a Thermostat opens the gas valve in gyzers at home. If I can't covince you then consult the figure of manual posted by the author of this post it is clearly mentioned the oil grade is directly proportional to the atmospheric temperature. be blessed!

Sir what is this? Isn't this the valve inside the radiator?

You are talking about temperature sending unit which indicates the temperature on cluster panel....

@Hassan1991 is talking about thermostat valve....
