toyota corolla 5 speed manual purchased 2nd hand in 2002. donot remember what was the odo meter then but immediately the fluids were changed. system fans, water body cooling system and ac was fixed to work on automatic. it was running over stock engine on petrol. all these days since then it was used at home in Karachi as daily rider. after 285000 kms engine started consuming oil 1.5 liters at every 6000 kms.
The driver saheb ustad friend wanted to swap the engine suggested 5AFE efi engine for 2 lakhs plus mazdori and electrician charge.
i was not in karachi then but suggested take car to irshad at shahrai quadeen as i have read over this forum about them more good less bad. I spoke to guy irshad asked him for compression test and results with his recommendation. I choose rebuild.
during eid holidays in Karachi i used the vehicle and it is perfect. fuel economy is 11 / km with ac in city.
But like all paid employees do my driver saheb is still complaining saheb gari theek nai hai.
since engine was overhauled by irshad at jamil autos in my absence he shared the pictures yesterday so am sharing what is available.
