i have 1994 toyota indus with old 2e 12 valve carbu engine car was purchased brand new with timely maintenance it has clocked over 300000 kms on oem engine body shell & interior is still intact some rust started to appear on foot board and door edges otherwise car is good.
in morning engine smokes a bit and fuel avg has dropped significantly engine oil consumption is approx 1 liter per 3000 kms by chance i was in quetta recently and with a mindset to swap engine found few good looking ( looks could be deceiving ) engine 5 afe 7 afe i asked around for a small 20 valve engine and only one shopowner said he have one and been there with him for over an year because ppl call it fail engine and it is a 4AGE Black top
it is with auto transmission, cut axles with boots, complete ecu+wiring, power steering, alternator + comp for aircon, the shop keeper is asking 130000 with fitting in car & 1000 km guarantee.
engine oil transmission oil need to be changed as per my reading over Xufliqar saheb threads oil & filters plus air con pipes etc will cost me another 20000 rupeez . am not sure of the price of this engine as karachi is farther for me then quetta and under the prevailing situation am not in position to do a run around for engine prices only, is there anyone who can please guide me for approx prices in KHI / LHR for this engine and total cost of swapping thank you
