Toyota altis Grande and Hilux Surf

I have Altis Grande 2018 and I was planning to sell it and add some more money and buy Toyota Hilux Surf. Is this a good option or I should continue with grande?

I wanted a car with more boot capacity and just wanted to have an experience of jeeps I heard that Surf is not a good jeep and it will cost so much on maintenance.

Both r gr8 cars. . .just fuel cost will double comparing to grande. Thats it. .
Both cars r good at their own places .

And what about maintenance of surf? Is it costy?

Since Surf would be like 20 years old, it would require more repair/ maintenance time to time. Although it's a Toyota but neither a Land Cruiser or a Prado but still would cost you on repair/ maintenance. Even four tires of a Surf would cost you something! Try to get hold of a very clean Surf, be it a bit expensive, you wont regret.

An SUV, let it be a surf, vigo, revo, prado or a cruiser, will have double the maintenance costs, double the fuel costs. Its not just buying but affording to run them is a whole different story.
As for just wanting boot space, why not just buy an estate car, like a fielder hybrid?
Keeping an old SUV in this country requires knowledge or access to a very honest mechanic, else you will ripped off like crazy

can anyone give their valued feed back whether to buy a petrol engine SUV or diesel Engine SUV.......

i am currently driving Toyota Aqua and enjoy great fuel economy but i cant take for road trips in rough terrain

but i need to buy a second car for road trips often where there are unpaved roads with portholes or rough patches or bumpy roads..

confused whether to buy a petrol SUV or Diesel SUV such as Prado 1996 to 1999

or any one can recommend any other vehicle options

you should start a different thread.
petrol suvs are preffered for mostly on road travel since they are smoother and much better for highway use.
Diesel suvs are preffered for fuel economy and off-roading due to the torque.
a prado 1996 costs between 18-22 lacs. other options in this range are a LC80 and gen3 pajero.
If you could be more specific about your knowledge about vehicles and what sort of usage, requirements and affordabilities you have, we can better guide
