Toyota Aqua 2014 Mileage Drop after oil & oil filter change

My Aqua 2014 mileage just dropped from 14kmpl to 8.9 Kmpl after the change of oil filter and a 5w 30 oil from Toyota motors Quetta, can anyone indicate what might the reason be?

Bro, just only these 02 tasks were performed?
Which oil was previously in use? Its grade / viscosity, brand, etc.?

@basitali87 your concern is correct but I think @haider1989 should at priority do the usual stuff like cleaning the throttle body, check spark plugs and air filter in case they need replacement or if non genuine items have been installed already.
There are a number of factors that could drag down your fuel consumption. So you have to tell us

the oil viscosity for aqua is 0w20. go for any goodbrand.

Just these 2 tasks were performed about 5 days earlier yeah, but the oil hadn't been changed since I bought the vehicle about 8 months back, after 9500 km got these 2 things changed that too from Toyota motors Quetta they placed a 5W 30 in it with a Rs 900 Oil Filter (so they claim,dont know the name but they say its Jap Quality), someone was also suggesting to get the Rear Bty fan cleaned, don't know the specs on that (if someone could throw some light on this)

Then why do most people prefer 5w 30 for a high altitude place like Qta at 8300 ft, they say altitude and climate of the locality also effects on the viscosity coefficient of the oil

brother did they reset the ecu when they changed the oil. do check if there is no oil leak and oil level is topped up on the dip stick.

nothing wrong with toyota 5w-30 if the oil is orignal.

Approx. 10,000 kms per taqreeban ye subhi cheezain must ho jati hain:
Engine oil, oil filter, cabin filter, air filter, throttle body service, cleaning of spark plugs and their replacement, if necessary (may be even wheel balancing / alignment and their rotation).
Tire Pressure must also be always kept maintained as per OEM recommendations.

As a general rule it is alright to change engine oil as per its reputation like 3000,5000 etc BUT I strongly recommend each individual to check condition of engine oil. Sometimes it could early depending upon a number of factors. Our hot/ dusty environment and level of maintenance is ruthless to engines

Aapki car taqreeban 9,500 kms chall chuki hai (jub sey aap k paas aye hai), and aapney ub aa k ye 02 ka'am karwayeye hain. Ye b nai pata k aap k paas aanay sey pehlay iski last time full periodic / preventive maintenance kab hui thi, Yahan aa k hui b hai k nai?

Aap regular preventive / periodic maintenance must smajhein; at 10,000 kms (max.) or as and when required.

And avoid dealerships! Since aapki car warranty mein b nai hai, then why waste extra money on dealerships?

Market k mechanics ko innki nisabt cheezoon ka zyada behtar pata hota hai, and wo charge b nominal sa kartay hain. Most of the garages change engine oil, along with filter, free of cost.

Generally, hybrid vehicles k liay 0w-20 or 0w-30 oils recommend kiay jatay hain.
5w-30 are excellent for non-hybrid vehicles, but I am not sure regarding their usage in hybrid vehicles.
For any oil grade / viscosity, oil must be 100% genuine / original, API rating of SN and Fully Synthetic!
Any well renowned brand can serve the purpose well (Mobil 1, Liqui Moly, Caltex Chevron, etc.), but, avoid ZIC!

Yes, in hybrid vehicles, rear venting system is also there (to keep the batteries cool and at nominal temp.)
Agar unn mein blockage aa rai ho, then, I think, instrument cluster mein battery ki koi check light ON ho jati hai (that batteries temperature is rising), but, I am not sure that whether it affects milage or not?

Bro, aapnay engine oil and oil filter to change karwa lia hai.
Ye cheezain b check karwa lein (and if required, then their replacement, and the highlighted text should be replaced ASAP):

Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Spark Plugs, Throttle Body Cleaning / Service, Brake Service, ecu resetting.

Do check, if Catalytic Converter is choked or not? If its choked, get it serviced too.

Did you check the transmission fluid? Its level, color, viscosity, etc.
If its level is low and color / viscosity is deteriorated, then have transmission serviced too (Transmission fluid replacement along with Filter).

Check for wheel balancing / alignment too. Do rotate tires, you vehicle is almost at 10,000 kms.

For these ECU settings the Toyota Motors at Qta should be bothered or the expertise should be looked elsewhere in normal market (which with respect to Qta I doubt)?

Aapko apni car ki zyada care karni paray gi, being Hybrid.
I read somewhere k Agar car well maintained rakhi jye, then even 350,000 Kms takk bhi engine and hybrid batteries ko kuj nai hota!
Engine ki maintenance fully aap k control mein hai, and hybrid batteries mostly rely on engine for their performance. So if engine will be well maintained and in top notch condition, batteries will automatically be Excellent!
