I have a Toyota Aqua 2012 model registered in 2017 with 80K on the meter.
I'd like to believe that the car is very well maintained. I'm using High Octane, Liqui Moli engine oil, all filters have been recently replaced, spark plugs are new, catalytic converter has been recently cleaned, and the way I drive is not too light footed but it's not too heavy footed either, it's just standard driving per se.
One major change that I made to the car was opting for low profile bigger tyres. Previously, I was using 190/65/15 or maybe 195/65/15, something like that. Now I have 215/45/17. Previously, I was getting an average of 20 but now it has dropped to hardly 17.
I wanted to know if the change in the tyre size can cause such a dramatic change in fuel average? Since engine oil, filters, spark plugs, throttle body cleaning, catalytic converter cleaning, etc. all of it has been done recently as well so I don't know if something's wrong or the tyre size is a justified explanation for the drop?
Oh and I went for the engine cleaning solution thingy too by Liqui Moli. And that another injector thingy that goes in the fuel tank.
Lastly, could you please also tell me the recommended tyre pressure for the kind that I've mentioned. Should I still just go for 30 in all four which is pretty much the standard in Pakistan or does that vary with this tyre size?
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks
