Toyota Aqua High Engine Sound

I have had my Toyota Aqua 2012 for a year now, the total running is around 120,000 km. I have recently been facing an issue with my engine. Here's the problem:

Unlike before, whenever I accelerate quickly, the engine sound is very high as if the car is in low gear even though the car accelerates okay (I can't say for sure if acceleration was like this before). Previously, accelerating quickly never felt odd. I was misinformed by Toyota and a few mechanics saying I should get my gear oil changed (Did that, it didn't fix a thing).

Any suggestions or fixes for my problem? It's driving me insane!

change all filters and engine oil. get plugs checked and cleaned.

if cvt oil is not changed for last 40K km than get it changed from a professional.

get fuel system cleaner and pour it in the fuel tank.

reset the ecu by disconnecting the -ve battery terminal for 5 mins and re connecting it.

incase all of the above dont work than also get the cat converter cleaned. never remove the cat converter.

Thanks for the quick response!

All filters, engine oil, spark plugs and cvt oil were changed.

Have not tried to disconnect the ECU yet or the fuel tank cleaning. Will try that soon.

My guess is that the cat converted is choked, however I have not had it cleaned since my mileage hasn't been affected.

What engine oil brand and grade ur using since u have 120k of mileage .

Please get ur cat opened up and cleaned .

If the issue still does not go away try engine water decarbonisation and clean out your injectors rather than putting in cleaners . Ref link is below .

I'm using Toyota genuine oil 5w30. Got the cat cleaned around 9 10 months ago. Should I still go for it? Also I got a checkup from Toyota, would they have checked the condition of the cat or would they have ignored it?

Will consider your other solution as well!

Facing similar issue. No noise during EV, but when shifts to engine, noise is heard especially in low gear. Did anyone get it solved? please mention solution.
