Aoa everyone,

I have 2013 Aqua and it was showing me the same warning signs. I went and got it scanned with an OBD device. It showed the error code P010. After that the mechanic said the battery cells need replacement but after a little research i decided to just clean the battery terminals and the clean the fan. The problem got temporarily fixed. But after a week or so the signs showed up again and the engine isn't drawing any power from the hybrid batteries.
The car has only been driven around approx 100000 Kms

If anyone could help. I'd really appreciate it.

P010 does not look like the correct error code. Can you verify it? If it is something else, then changing or cleaning the terminals or battery won't fix anything. Diagnose it properly before trying to fix something.

I did not get obd scanned instead i got its throttle body cleaned and all the plugs.
After that till now the car has been working fine.

I have the same problem with my car.its 2014 model,140k driven.i went to a mechanic he cleaned the fan under rear seat and then took the hybrid battery out and cleaned the terminals but on my way bk home the same signs reappeared.now i have been told to replace the battery there is no other way to get rid of these signs.the called someone and asked the price it was 110k with only one month warranty.quite expensive.still coudnt decide what to do

It might be the battery, or it might be something else. Get the car scanned and get the error codes. Trying to fix the car without getting the error codes is like finding a needle in the dark without any light and not knowing where it might be.

Get the car scanned first thing.

I am facing a similar issue. The hybrid battery fan/blower was clogged - i had it cleaned and then the error codes disappeared. Now i am again getting the error codes which say battery problem. The blower seems to be working very slowly and i am wondering if that is causing the problem

If you have a volt meter check if fan is getting all 12V or not.

I am not sure if it's supposed to be on at all time or not or at the same speed or not. It could be a simple direct 12V fan. Worth checking if its getting all 12 Volts

Pls try to understand that error code points to the right direction. After that you need detailed investigation to reach the problem.

I think all the issues listed above have HV battery issues, which can be 1 or more cell having low voltage.
You need Toyota Techstream software (TIS) which will give you full insight of the HV Battery voltage of each cell.

Dont waste time and money getting your car taken apart, opening hybrid systems with out proper knowledge will lead to more problems.

You didn't mention the codes after scanning. Never replace the whole battery pack, its expensive rather change only the cells appearing faulty during scanning.

I have a scanner with the name ANCEL purchased for Rs. 3000/- only and it shows me condition of all cells of the battery pack i.e. individual cell voltage or Blade voltage, temperatures at middle and at both ends of battery pack, difference of voltage between best and worst cell etc.
I connect it with Mobile through Dr. Prius sofware.

I've also got the same checklight with wrench and a question mark noise like of fan can be heard and the car is heated??

in 1st step you shall vaccum clean the Hybrid HV Battery Bank cooling fan. it is located under rear seat and duct is also visible.
