The device also connected with the App within seconds and started showing the data, different parameters, etc. and gave no glitches. The owner went with the device, and I never got any complaints regarding the device from him.
So this was all the background, to say that the fault seems to most probably lie with your OBDII / ELM327 device, and not with the smartphone, Apps, etc.
Most of the cheap, non-branded OBDII / ELM327 devices are clones, and can at max. make connection with the phone / computer via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc., but are not able to communicate with the relevant software, or Apps to show Data.
To conclude; if your device is non-branded, then you may need to change your device, and buy a good, branded one.
