Toyota Belta 1000CC or 1300 CC? Sugesstions Welcomed!

Hi friends,
I am willing to purchase Toyota Belta 2007+ model, Preferably imported within 2-3 months back and less than 30,000 Km milage.

Please suggest me about this car as i have two options to go for, Either 1300CC or 1000CC??
I would be using it purely on Gasoline petrol (Not CNG) so do you think 1000CC would create pick/power trouble with AC or load??

Do you think Belta is overall a good option in it's price range or we have some other options as well?

belta is a great car , ill personelly recommend u to buy it , n go for 1.3 variant , as vitz wid load gets quite underpowered specially if u have a heavy foot !
n 1 thing , dun go for the odo meter readings , dey r all tempered , if it even says 80k , doesnt matter , concentrate on car's condition n mechanically sound !

If we compare, body of both cars is same, means same weight. So 1300CC variant will be more suitable.

Well, I am checking the market right now and i can see the resale value
Resale is there now because in price category of 1m to 1.3m this is the best car you can have almost new! Especially since the prices of new local cars (Corolla/Honda) have crossed 1.6m, this car is becoming better choice for people.

If i don't need to go beyond 120-130kph speed on highways and 60-90kph in city then i think 1000CC is better?
What do you suggest? For 1.0L X, Fuel efficency is also good around (15-19 km/L in city) & (20-21km/L on highways).
Currently price window for 1000CC is 1.05m to 1.15m while for 1300CC is 1.2m to 1.35m approx.

In summers AC would be creating problem or not? Anyone using BELTA can comment?

Belta is a great car from my experience of using it. I have a 1000 CC and I dont feel it underpowered at all. Even had 5 people sitting and it drove great. I use the AC 24/7 and there is no feeling of load at all when switching on the AC. I remember I had a 1300 cc Suzuki Margalla Plus and when I used to switch on the AC, I could feel a noticeable load on the car's pickup. So you can see the difference between JDM and local cars

Also I had a Vitz 2007 before this and from what I know its curb weight is more or less the same at 990 kg. So even though they have the same engine...the Belta is not heavier than the Vitz with the boot. It's designed that way. Maybe someone could correct me if I am wrong.

It's upto you if you want to go for the 1300 CC but I feel the 1000 CC is just great. Don't go for this misconception that its underpowered. For a sub-compact sedan in its class is perfectly fine. The Japs know what they are doing

well bro if ur a slow driver , 1L wont give u any complaints thn but the consumption ur mentioning is out of dis world bro
my 1L vitz gives 14 km per litre in isl urban driving n 10 in peshawar urban driving n in long the best it has eva done wid ac is 18 , normally in long it does 15-17 wid ac depending on load n driving style ! m nt a harsh driver ! so i dun think it will eva give u 18-22 km per liter in long !

no, its not essentially an issue of going to Murree or beyond. Its more about striking a reasonable balance between enjoyment and economy.

if u put the pedal to metal it will climb to any place ! cvt automatically adjusts ratios while climbin hills ! but ill personelly suggest 1.3 ! if u wanna have a gud drive , n max diff iin comsumption will be 1 or 1.5 km per litre ! n i presume wid too much load 1.3 in long drive will do better as 1L will use more fuel to produce enuf power , n 1.3 wont make any struggle

1.3L Belta is a better option than 1.0.

Belta is noisy just like vitz. It annoys when you drive it on high rpm's or on highways. I have experienced this thing on 1.0L Belta. Not sure about 1.3 but heard someone complaining about this issue in 1.3L also.

Some members correctly pointed out resale issue of this car. This car has poor resale as compared to other cars in this price bracket.

Why just belta? Consider PKDM Corolla GLI , City 09 onwards or Corolla X/G(JDM). These are better cars in drive/shape and have very good resale and you will be having peace of mind.

noise issue only wid 1kr-fe as its a 3 cylinder
2sz-fe 1.3 2wd variant is a 4 cylinder no noise issue
n same goes for 2nz-fe 1.3 4wd variant

very true. Experienced both engines... 1KRFE makes a lot of noise and produces vibration too. That engine makes a vitz feel underpowered so belta would obviously feel underpowered too. When you're gonna "press the pedal to the metal" the engine will only scream while the car wont pick up much speed.... try doing this for too long and you'll ruin your CVT gearbox plates

Belta X is basic Business is middle and G grade is top grade.

G grade is onlu in 1.3L has optional 15' alloys, electronic Traction Control, Electronic stability control, optional navigation w TV Tuner & Hard disk, standard keyless entry, front seat heater, Engine start button.
